The image coding method includes: implementing matching coding for pixels of an input video image to obtain one or more matching relationship parameters, herein the matching relationship parameters are parameters used in a process of constructing predicted values and/or reconstructed values of the pixels in the image; mapping the matching relationship parameters to obtain mapped values of the matching relationship parameters; and performing entropy coding on the mapped values of the matching relationship parameters. The present invention addresses the problem existing in the conventional art which is caused by the direct implementation of entropy coding for matching relationship parameters and achieves a good data compression effect through entropy coding.

The processing circuitry identifies a reference block for the current block where the reference block is one of a plurality of blocks in a motion vector compression unit (MVCU) that is already reconstructed. The processing circuitry further determines current motion information of the current block based on representative motion information for the MVCU and reconstructs at least one sample in the current block based on the current motion information.

In one preferred embodiment, slice level offsets are added making the method particularly well-suited for slice level parallel processing. The extension of Chroma QP enhances functionality, flexibility and friendliness of the High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) standard for various applications.

    Abstract: Devices and methods of intra prediction of a block of a picture are provided. In various embodiments, information indicating an Intra Sub-Partitions (ISP) split type can be obtained. A value of a filter flag can be set based on the ISP split type. For instance, the value of the filter flag can be set to 0 when the ISP split type does not indicate not to split a current block. A set of coefficients of an interpolation filter can then be selected according to the value of the filter flag. For instance, fG coefficients or fC coefficients can be selected based on the value of the filter flag. Still in those embodiment, the selected set of coefficients can be applied to reference samples. In some embodiments, the method removes mode dependency during selection of interpolation filter type. This could increase encoding or decoding efficiency.
