  • Patent number: 9825863
Abstract: A system and method for automating connection management in a manner that may be transparent to any actively communicating applications operating in a Network on Terminal Architecture (NoTA). An application level entity may access another node by making a request to a high level communication structure via an interface. The high level structure may interact with a lower level structure configured to manage communication by establishing communication with another device via one or more transports. In at least one embodiment, provisions may be made to guard against data being lost when a transport fails, including storing data that is passed from a transport-independent buffer to a transport-specific buffer in case the transport fails. When a failure occurs, the stored data may readily be forwarded for sending using another transport.

  • Patent number: 9825860
Abstract: A flow-driven forwarding strategy includes receiving an Interest packet, where the interest packet includes a flow state indicator. The content associated with the Interest packet is checked to determine whether that content is locally stored. Another check is performed to determine whether any previously received Interest packet has requested the content. In response to the content not being locally stored and no related Interest packet has been previously received, the flow state indicator is checked in the Interest packet. In response to the flow state indicator indicating that the Interest packet is associated with an active flow, forwarding information is extracted from a flow state table if a hop count has a value of zero or from the Interest packet if the hop count has a value greater than zero. The Interest packet is then forwarded to a next hop in accordance with the forwarding information.

  • Patent number: 9820246
Abstract: An aspect of the present disclosure enables each receiver node of a wireless network to synchronize active widows with those of the sender node. In an embodiment, a receiver node receives a packet from a sender node on a wireless network, with the packet including data indicating a position of the packet in an active window of the sender node. The receiver node determines the position at which the packet is received in an active window of the receiver node. The receiver node determines a difference between the two positions and adjusts a start position of the next active window (of the receiver node) based on the determined difference to synchronize the future active windows at the receiver node to respective active windows at the sender node.

  • Patent number: 9813124
Abstract: A method for a receiver to cancel or suppress co-channel interference with network assistance is provided. The method comprises deriving a first set of parameters related to interfering signals in a mobile communication network; receiving a second set of parameters related to the interfering signals from the network; and cancelling the contribution of interfering signals from the received signal based on the combination of the first set and second set of parameters. In one embodiment, scrambling rules and resource block allocation information are signaled to the victim UE to facilitate Codeword-Level Interference Cancellation (CWIC). While the scrambling rule for control channel is based on UE-specific identity, the scrambling rule for data channel is based on cell-specific identity or other network-configurable identity to facilitate CWIC. In addition, RA-allocation information are signaled to the victim UE in an efficient way.
