  • Patent number: 9462560
Abstract: Disclosed are a wireless communication method, a wireless communication base station device, and a wireless communication terminal device that dynamically switch the transmission slot of an SRS of each terminal within a cell while suppressing an increase in the number of signaling bits. A terminal (100) and a base station (200) are each provided with a table wherein FH flags for SRS and transmission power data of each slot are mapped to two-bit notification bits. In this table, transmission power data indicating SRS transmission by slot 1 and slot 2 and FH flags are mapped, and an FH flag is not mapped to transmission power data indicating SRS transmission by slot 1 or slot 2. The base station (200) notifies the terminal (100) of the FH flag data and the SRS transmission power data by means of transmitting scheduling data containing the notification bits to the terminal (100).

  • Patent number: 9450780
Abstract: Methods, apparatus and systems for improved performance and energy efficiency of software-based routers. A software router running on a host computer system employing multiple Network Interface Controllers (NICs) maintains a routing table wherein packet flows are classified as managed flows (MFs) under which packets are received at and forwarded from the same NIC and unmanaged flows UFs under which packets are received at and forwarded from different NICs. Forwarding table data is employed by a NIC to facilitate packet identification and flow classification operations under which the NIC determines whether a received packet is an MF, UF, or an unclassified flow. Under various schemes, packet forwarding for MFs is handled by the software router architecture such that either only the packet header is copied into memory in the host or the entire packet forwarding is handled by the NIC.

  • Patent number: 9451594
Abstract: The teachings herein disclose methods and apparatuses for automatically binding external identifiers to service provider network identifiers. The external identifiers are allocated by an access network for use by a service provider network in identifying given wireless devices to the access network, where the service provider network is external to the access network. The service provider network identifiers are used to identify those same wireless devices within the service provider network, with respect to one or more services. The binding thus enables the service provider network to trigger communications with a targeted wireless device via the access network, by using the external identifier that is bound to the service provider network identifier of the targeted device, and sending trigger signaling to the access network that identifies the targeted wireless device via the external identifier.

  • Patent number: 9444676
Abstract: A method is implemented by a network device in a network having a plurality of nodes. The method computes a remote loop free alternative (RLFA) next hop as a backup for a primary path next hop. The method improves RLFA computation efficiency for a Q-Space list of nodes in a Q-space for an endpoint node by reducing calculations of the loop free condition for a path from a source node to a destination node via a tunnel between the source node and the endpoint node. The method includes adding a neighbor node to a poison list where the candidate node is in the poison list and the neighbor node is not in the candidate list, the poison list indicating that a node is not a candidate for Q-Space, and determining the Q-Space list by removing nodes from poison list from the plurality of nodes.

  • Patent number: 9398473
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing load based optimizations in communication networks are provided. A network device that provides network management and exchanges control messages with other network devices in the communication network can be modified to masquerade as a radio access transceiver to obtain radio access transceiver load information. The network device can be modified to include a radio-related interface and can communicate messages with the radio access transceivers to setup a radio access transceiver connection for exchange of load information. The radio access transceiver load information can then be used in the core network to provide optimizations for the loaded radio access transceivers. The optimizations can include modifying packet flows to decrease the bandwidth needed and switching one or more packet flows to another radio access transceiver.
