Abstract: An accountability management system for determining an accountability in terms of a responsibility score for an investor of an enterprise. First footprint for a first node and second footprint for a second node are determined. A first fraction of the first footprint and a second fraction of the second footprint is allocated to the enterprise whose transaction from the first node and the second node defines the first fraction and the second fraction. A first degree, a second degree, and a third degree are determined. An aggregate offset attributable to the enterprise is determined from the first, the second, and the third degree. The responsibility score is determined for the investors based on the aggregate offset. Changes to the data sources, the first node, the second node, or a connection between the first node and the second node leads to updating of the aggregate offset and the responsibility score.

Abstract: Methods and systems for developing virtual models and assessing a condition of a feature of a modeled property within a virtual environment are described herein. A server may receive a data request from a user electronic device. The data request may comprise a property of interest located in an overall region. The server may then dynamically acquire a virtual model for rendering the property within a virtual environment at the user electronic device based on the data request. The server may then determine to assess a condition of the feature associated with the property represented in the virtual model in accordance with rules. The condition of the feature is relevant to assessing risks associated with the one or more properties. The server may subsequently obtain an assessment of the condition associated with the feature of the property based on a representation of the condition within the virtual environment.

Abstract: An apparatus is configured to receive a complaint initiation signal that includes an indication that a card reader may be compromised, and initiation date and time of the complaint, and geolocation data related to the reporting party. The apparatus is further configured to identify a street address closest to the geolocation data in the complaint using a geolocation application programming interface and the set of geolocation data. The apparatus is also configured to determine that the identified street address is associated with an entity. The apparatus then calculates a confidence interval as to whether that entity is the type of entity that uses a card reader. The apparatus is further configured to determine that the confidence interval exceeds a threshold. The apparatus is also configured to determine an identifier of the entity. Further, the apparatus is configured to publish an alert to a data feed.

Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided for providing a patient with prescribed medication cost information at a point of prescribing. A prescription benefit coverage inquiry is received and provided to a claims processor for processing. Historical data associated with prior prescription transactions is utilized to determine an estimated cost range of a prescribed medication in the event of an insufficient or absent response from a benefits manager. The estimated cost range is then provided to a prescriber to share with a patient. A targeted out-of-pocket cost according to incentives, such as vouchers and drug manufacturer rebates may also be provided.

Abstract: The invention relates to a data processing method based on NFC tag. The method comprises: reading the NFC tag, the NFC tag comprising tag content and tag ID; generating an NFC tag payment request based on the tag content and tag ID; parsing the NFC tag payment request and obtaining an parsing reply to the NFC tag payment request; generating an order generation request based on the parsing reply, wherein the order generation request is for causing an order to be generated based on first account information, current transaction information and second account information; generating the order based on the order generation request; and payment step for performing payment based on the order. According to embodiments of the invention, the payment process can be simplified, also, there is no need to set the NFC-specific reading device in the embodiments of the invention, and the cost of merchants can be reduced.

Abstract: Methods and systems for assessing property based on predictive analytics techniques that use external data are described herein. A server may identify a reference set of information for a reference property evaluated with a reference risk score in accordance with a risk score rule that meets a predetermined threshold. The server may obtain an external data file from an external data source, wherein the external data file includes an external set of information for a prospective property. The server may compare the reference set of information with the external set of information to identify a common feature, condition, or attribute, and if identified, may evaluate the prospective property by determining a predicted risk score based on the external set of information in accordance with the risk score rule. If the predicted risk score is determined to meet the threshold, the server may indicate the prospective property as pre-approved.

Abstract: Systems and methods for universal item returns. A universal returns systems allows a user the ability to return an item via a distribution network whether the item was purchased at a retail location, delivered by the distribution network, or delivered by another entity. The universal returns system comprises a user interface a return request. Based on the return request, the system obtains transaction information, provides a return code, and allows scheduling item pick-up.

The apparatus may include a first supplementary chip, a second supplementary chip, and a third supplementary chip. Each of the first, second and third supplementary chips may be positioned within a thickness of the payment instrument and configured to draw power from the power source.

Abstract: There is provided a wireless communication device that includes a communication unit that performs wireless communication with a connection device, and a control unit that encrypts a wireless communication channel with the connection device on the basis of a digital certificate issued by a certificate authority server. The communication unit receives payment information and a valid type of payment from the connection device via the encrypted wireless communication channel. The control unit determines a payment server on the basis of the valid type of payment and causes the communication unit to transmit a payment request based on the payment information to the payment server.

Abstract: A method for enrolling a holder of a biometric transaction device includes the following step: storing at least one biometric pattern in the device. The method further includes the following steps: a) providing the holder with a portable, mobile power connector, configured to trigger the storing; b) and/or activating the biometric pattern, the activation being carried out in response to or in association with a successful authentication of the holder. A processor of the server is operative with program instructions to (i) receive a temporary authorisation code initiator from a bookings system, the temporary authorisation code initiator indicating that a user of a payment vehicle has made a booking relating to overseas travel and identifying at least one of the user and the payment vehicle. The processor is further operative with the program instructions to (ii) acquire, from the bookings system, travel booking details for the booking, the travel booking details specifying, at least first unique identifier associated with the payment vehicle user, and a first travel segment associated with the unique identifier, (iii) acquire, from the bookings system, confirmation that the travel segment has commenced, and (iv) set the first unique identifier as an authorisation code for authorising e-commerce transactions using the payment vehicle.
