Communication between the first region and the second region is allowed through upper and lower communication portions. The upper communication portion is positioned upward than the liquid inlet port and the detected portion.

A horizontal sectional area of the ink cylinder portion 46A at a height position where the pair of terminal pins 96a and 96b are provided is smaller than a horizontal sectional area of the ink tank 43A at a corresponding height position.
