  • Patent number: 11799959
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a data management technology. An OSD receives a strip write request sent by a client server, where the strip write request carries a to-be-written strip, a version number of the to-be-written strip, an offset of the to-be-written strip, and an object ID of the to-be-written strip; and the OSD writes the to-be-written strip into a storage location determined by using the object ID, the version number of the to-be-written strip, and the offset of the to-be-written strip. By applying the present invention, a quantity of object IDs can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 11797579
Abstract: Data content governance for presentation layer synchronization for a version controlled underlying data model includes defining a data model for underlying data in a database, specifying a presentation layer for the defined data model and identifying selected elements of the data model necessary to meet data requirements of the specified presentation layer. Then, the identified selected elements of the data model are serialized and both the specified presentation layer and the serialized elements are versioned in respect to the specified presentation layer. Thereafter, when the data model becomes modified, the specified presentation layer is modified to accommodate the modified data model. In response to the modification, a different selection of elements of the data model necessary to meet data requirements of the modified presentation layer are re-identified and serialized, with the modified presentation layer and the serialized re-identified different selection of elements becoming re-versioned.

  • Patent number: 11763325
Abstract: Introduced here are approaches to determining causal relationships in mixed datasets containing data related to continuous variables and discrete variables. To accomplish this, a marketing insight and intelligence platform may employ a multi-phase approach in which dependency is established before the data related to continuous variables is discretized. Such an approach ensures that information regarding dependence is not lost through discretization.

  • Patent number: 11755427
Abstract: A key-value engine of a storage system may perform a restart recovery after a system failure. The key-value engine may read a metadata log to locate a latest system checkpoint, and load a page mapping table from the latest system checkpoint. The key-value engine may replay to apply changes to the page mapping table from a system transaction log starting from a system transaction replay starting point. The key-value engine may further form one or more read-only replicas using an underlying file stream opened in a read-only mode during the recovery after the system failure to further facilitate fast recovery and provide fast response to user transactions that conduct read only transactions after the system failure.

  • Patent number: 11755568
Abstract: Provided herein are systems and methods for a database object (e.g., materialized table) configuration including scheduling refreshes of the materialized table. For example, a method includes determining a dependency graph for a first MT. The dependency graph comprises a second MT from which the first MT depends. The first MT includes a query on one or more base tables and a lag duration value. The lag duration value indicates a maximum time period that a result of a prior refresh of the query can lag behind a current time instance. A tick period is selected for a set of ticks based on the lag duration value. The set of ticks corresponds to a set of aligned time instances. Refresh operations are scheduled for the first and second MTs at corresponding time instances from the set of aligned time instances. The corresponding time instances are separated by the tick period.

  • Patent number: 11741046
Abstract: A method and apparatus for creating a system disk snapshot of a virtual machine comprises: receiving an instruction for creating a snapshot of a virtual machine; determining existence of a power-on state; renaming a top file in a system disk in response to the received instruction if the power-on state exists; creating a new top file in response to renaming the top file, directing dependency of the new top file to the renamed top file and opening the new top file; determining whether a preceding snapshot is created successfully; using the renamed top file as a first snapshot file if the preceding snapshot is successful; and uploading the first snapshot file to a file management server. Accordingly, when a system disk snapshot is created in a power-on state, the snapshot may be created without stopping the virtual machine, thereby reducing requirements for data back up, storage space, and network bandwidth.

  • Patent number: 11720604
Abstract: Content items are rearranged within a digital collaboration space (e.g., a digital whiteboard) based on category metadata determined for the content items using one or more learning models. The content items are added to the digital collaboration space by one or more users. For each of the content items, category metadata is determined using a learning model that processes information associated with the content item. A rearrangement of the content items is determined based on the category metadata determined for each of the content items. The content items, rearranged according to the rearrangement, are then output to a layer of the digital collaboration space. Other rearrangements of the content items can be determined based on non-category metadata associated with the content items, and the content items, rearranged according to those other rearrangements, can be output to other layers of the digital collaboration space.
