  • Patent number: 9659409
Abstract: A method for providing a spatial anatomical model of a body part with the aid of at least one imaging examination modality is provided. At least one digital representation of the at least partial body part is provided to a control device by the at least one imaging examination modality. Based on the at least one digital representation, the control device determines a digital model and transmits the digital model to an output device. The output device determines the spatial model and outputs the spatial model as a hologram or workpiece. The spatial model is determined as a function of at least one specifying control parameter that describes a relevant portion of the spatial model and/or a mode of representation of the spatial model and/or of the portion. The control parameter is determined based on an operator control action executed by a user and received by an operator control device.

  • Patent number: 9652508
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for adjusting search results based on device specific utilities. In one aspect, a method includes determining whether a set of search results are ineligible for an adjustment operation based on an absence of a first proper subset of the resources that are determined to have a positive utility for a first device type from which a query was received. The determination is independent of the presence of a second proper subset of the resources that are determined to have a negative utility for the first device type. For each query for which the search results are determined to be adjusted, the search results are adjusted so that the search results referencing resources in the first proper subset are boosted relative to the search results referencing resources in the second proper subset.

  • Patent number: 9646419
Abstract: Aspects provide for notifications of image recognition analysis matches to streamed image data on augmented reality device displays. Data identifies one or more visual appearance attributes of a target object that are discernible within image data acquired by a camera. Image data captured by a camera is analyzed to determine an occurrence of the visual appearance attribute(s) within a stream of images of captured image data. In response to the analyzing determining an occurrence of the visual appearance attribute(s) within the stream of captured images, the method drives a display screen of the augmented reality device to distinguish a possible location of the target object within surroundings of a user of the augmented reality display device that are displayed to the user by the display screen.

  • Patent number: 9633076
Abstract: A method dynamically combines data from multiple data sources. A visual specification for a data visualization requires data from a primary data source and one or more secondary data sources. The primary data source is independent of the secondary data sources. The visual specification includes a first set of dimension fields that specify a hierarchical level for the data visualization. A second set of dimension fields specify a hierarchical level for joining data sets from the data sources. The hierarchical level for joining data sets is more granular than the hierarchical level for the data visualization. For each data source, a query is generated, and a data set is retrieved from the data source using the query. A single combined data set is formed that includes the dimension fields in the first set. The combined data set is rolled-up and a data visualization is displayed using the rolled-up data.

Abstract: A method and system for generating a map using a computer is based on data and weighted factors to minimize corresponding projection distortions. The method and system includes determining visualization goals from analyzing a set of datasets for a map using the computer. A set of visualization characteristics are calculated for each dataset based on the visualization goals using the computer. The visualization characteristics are analyzed to weight factors for each of the datasets. Each of the weighted factors is adjusted based on the relevance of each of the datasets for visualization of the map. An aggregate vector of weighted factors is calculated based on all of the datasets, and the map for visualization is generated based on the aggregate vector of weighted factors.

  • Patent number: 9601092
Abstract: The introduction of an “out-of-memory” marker in the sorted tile geometry sequence for a tile may aid in handling out-of-memory frames. This marker allows hardware to continue rendering using the original data stream instead of the sorted data stream. This enables use of the original data stream allows the system to continue rendering without requiring any driver intervention. During the visibility generation/sorting phase, the number of memory pages required for storing the data for a rendering pass is continuously tracked. This tracking includes tracking the pages that are required even if the hardware had not run out-of-memory. This information can be monitored by a graphics driver and the driver can provide more memory pages for the system to work at full efficiency.

  • Patent number: 9589316
Abstract: Described herein are technologies that facilitate computationally low-intensity creation of additional frames in a sequence of frames created by real-time three-dimensional (3D) rendering. More particularly, the technologies described herein generate an interposed two-dimensional (2D) screen-space projection (e.g., the resulting rendered image) in between a pair of fully rendered surrounding frames in a sequence of rendered frames. The interposed 2D screen-space projection is generated based upon information derived from the pair of surrounding frames.

  • Patent number: 9589543
Abstract: One or more system, apparatus, method, and computer readable media is described for improving the quality of static image frames having a relatively long residence time in a frame buffer on a sink device. Where a compressed data channel links a source and sink, the source may encode additional frame data to improve the quality of a static frame presented by a sink display. A display source may encode frame data at a nominal quality and transmit a packetized stream of the compressed frame data. In the absence of a timely frame buffer update, the display source encodes additional information to improve the image quality of the representation of the now static frame. A display sink device presents a first representation of the frame at the nominal image quality, and presents a second representation of the frame at the improved image quality upon subsequently receiving the frame quality improvement data.

  • Patent number: 9579574
Abstract: A method of stereoscopic panoramic image capture of a virtual environment is provided. The method includes pausing the state of a virtual environment being implemented by an application. For each of a plurality of positions in the virtual environment, the method includes rendering in turn plural images collectively encompassing a panoramic view. The method also includes capturing in turn each of the plural rendered images and capturing distance data describing the distance between a respective position in the virtual environment and surfaces in the virtual environment visible at that respective position. The plural positions in the virtual environment form vertices of a bounding space within which left and right viewpoints of a stereoscopic image can be formed.

  • Patent number: 9583075
Abstract: An image processor (IP) and an image processing method to support cardio- or neuro-interventions. An imager (100) acquires a series of fluoroscopic images (F) while an interventional tool progresses through a region of interest (ROI) such as a cardiac vasculature. Image processor (IP) operates to select from a plurality of stored angiograms (A) previously acquired of the region of interest a contextual one from which a contextual roadmap (RM) can be extracted. The contextual roadmap is selected to fit to both, a current cardiac phase and the current position of the device (GW). The selected contextual angiogram and its contextual roadmap is capable of showing the outlines of the vasculature (ROI) at the current device position at high contrast.

  • Patent number: 9571880
Abstract: This invention discloses circuits and methods for generating a pixel clock. The circuits utilize an image signal of a first format to generate a pixel clock, which can be utilized to generate an image signal of a second format. The circuits include a reference clock generation circuit, an image processing circuit, and a clock adjustment circuit. The reference clock generation circuit generates a reference clock. The image processing circuit processes the image signal of the first format to generate a control signal. The clock adjustment circuit, which is coupled to the reference clock generation circuit and the image signal processing circuit, generates the pixel clock according to the reference clock and the control signal. The control signal is substantially a periodic signal, whose frequency is proportional to the frequency of a synchronization signal of the image signal of the second format.
