Abstract: At least one embodiment relates to an image analysis system for tumor classification. The system is configured for receiving at least one digital image of a tissue sample; analyzing the at least one received image for identifying immune cells and tumor cells in the at least one received image; for each of the identified tumor cells, determining the distance of the tumor cell to the nearest immune cell; computing a proximity measure as a function of the determined distances; in dependence on the proximity measure, classifying the identified tumor cells into tumor cells of an inflammatory tumor or as tumor cells of a non-inflammatory tumor; and storing the classification result on a storage medium and/or displaying the classification result on a display device.
Abstract: A controller circuit board outputs image data. A head circuit board controls a head unit in accordance with a setting data list. An engine circuit board controls a sheet transportation unit, and sets setting data in the setting data list in accordance with a command from the controller circuit board. The head circuit board receives the image data from the controller circuit board not through the engine circuit board. The controller circuit board outputs a backup command and thereby causes the engine circuit board to acquire the setting data list from the head circuit board, acquires it from the engine circuit board, and store it in a storage device, and outputs a restoration command and a setting data list read from the storage device and thereby causes the engine circuit board to renew the setting data list in the head circuit board.

Abstract: A raster image processing system including a computer readable media storing digital information that includes information corresponding to an image, and instructions for performing raster image processing (RIP) using an over scan RIP technique on the image to generate a bitmap. Also included is a processor configured to RIP the image using the over scan RIP technique at a multiple of the desired output pixel resolution to produce a plurality of sub-pixels per output pixel. The processor is further configured to determine each image output pixel value based on the values set for the plurality of sub-pixels of each image pixel, by firstly comparing the values of the plurality of sub-pixels to each other and, and then secondly comparing the values of the plurality of sub-pixels to a set background value if needed. The processor then sets the output pixel value based upon that second comparison, and generates a bitmap.
