Abstract: A base station device, which allocates one or more subbands of each of an uplink and a downlink to a mobile station device and transmits response information, which indicates whether or not uplink data from the mobile station device has been properly received, to the mobile station device, the base station device includes: a control unit (11) which controls an arrangement of a response information group including multiple pieces of response information directed to a downlink subband allocated to the mobile station device; and a multiplexing unit (160) which collects the same type of multiple pieces of response information to configure the response information group, and arranges the configured response information group in the downlink subband based on the control of the control unit.
Abstract: An adaptable orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing system (OFDM) that uses a multiple input multiple output (MIMO) to having OFDM signals transmitted either in accordance with time diversity to reducing signal fading or in accordance with spatial diversity to increase the data rate. Sub-carriers are classified for spatial diversity transmission or for time diversity transmission based on the result of a comparison between threshold values and at least one of three criteria. The criteria includes a calculation of a smallest eigen value of a frequency channel response matrix and a smallest element of a diagonal of the matrix and a ratio of the largest and smallest eigen values of the matrix.
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for receiving a request at a packet gateway to allocate a new bearer for a mobile device on a wireless telecommunications network; identifying, at the packet gateway, existing bearers that have a quality of service (QoS) that can be reduced without dropping the existing bearers; reducing, at the packet gateway, the QoS of the existing bearers; reclaiming resources at the packet gateway that were previously in use by the existing bearers; and allocating the new bearer for the mobile device using the reclaimed resources at the packet gateway without causing any of the existing bearers to be disconnected, wherein the existing bearers have a lower priority than the new bearer, and wherein the existing bearers have previously been designated as capable of being preempted.
Abstract: Methods of assigning radio resources in a wireless communications network with user equipment are provided. The methods include connecting a user equipment unit to a vehicle having a mobile communication module associated therewith. The user equipment unit is authenticated at the vehicle and is associated with the user equipment unit with the vehicle. Connection credentials are received at the mobile communication module from the user equipment unit if the user equipment unit is authenticated and associated. At least one wireless interface is activated at the mobile communication module responsive to the received connection credentials. A local wireless connection is established between the user equipment unit and the mobile communication module associated with the vehicle using the at least one wireless interface. Related mobile communication modules and intermediary devices are also provided.
Abstract: A method and system for encoding connection payload information of a plurality of connection payloads in a Medium Access Control (MAC) Protocol Data Unit (PDU) are provided. The method includes encoding connection payload information of a first connection payload from the plurality of connection payloads in a first header of the MAC PDU. The method also includes encoding connection payload information of each of a second set of connection payloads from the plurality of connection payloads in a second header of the MAC PDU, wherein the second set of connection payloads includes the plurality of connection payloads excluding the first connection payload. Further, the method sends the MAC PDU with encoded information. Thereafter, the method also includes a procedure to decode connection payload information of a plurality of connection payloads from a Medium Access Control (MAC) Protocol Data Unit (PDU).
Abstract: A method for allocating resources for a scheduling request indicator (SRI) is disclosed. An SRI cycle period for use by user equipment (UE) within a cell is transmitted from a NodeB in a cell to UE within the cell. The NodeB transmits a specific SRI subframe offset and an index value to the particular UE within the cell. The specific SRI subframe offset and the index value enable the UE to determine a unique combination of cyclic shift, RS orthogonal cover, data orthogonal cover, and resource block number for the UE to use as a unique physical resource for an SRI in the physical uplink control channel (PUCCH).

Abstract: A method for reporting channel information in a wireless local area network system is provided. The plurality of sub-frames is organized in a reverse indexing manner such that a last indexed sub-frame is adjacent to a second resource region. The second resource region is allocated to a second channel. In response to determining that the examined sub-frame is unused, the examined sub-frame is re-allocated for temporary use in the second channel. The method also includes providing an indication of the allocation. Apparatus and computer readable media are also described.

A terminal (100) as the MIMO transmission device maps a first and a second element of the ACK/NACK signal vector formed from ACK/NACK signals onto a first and a second stream, respectively, and transmits the elements contained in a 2SC-FDMA symbol in a single slot. In the terminal (100), a response signal vector formation unit (140) forms [a·Sack, 0] as the ACK/NACK signal vector in a first SC-FDMA symbol and [0, a·Sack] as an ACK/NACK signal vector in a second SC-FDMA symbol. A precoding unit (165) uses a unitary matrix to precode the ACK/NACK signal vector formed in the response signal vector formation unit (140).
Abstract: Methods of MDT information logging and reporting are provided. In one embodiment, a method is provided to resolve shortcomings of prior art by correlating UL measurements with QoS information to enable UL performance analysis and accurate detection of coverage problems. In another embodiment, a method is provided to resolve the shortcomings of the prior art by making DL measurements and location information collecting or logging conditional on UL measurements.
