  • Patent number: 11950242
Abstract: This disclosure relates to providing system information for cell access to link budget limited devices. According to some embodiments, a base station may transmit an announcement information block (MB) in a downlink shared data channel (e.g., PDSCH), wherein the AIB contains information useable by a UE in determining the location of system information in the downlink shared data channel. The UE can thus determine the location of and decode system information without having to decode a downlink control channel (e.g., PDCCH). This may be important for certain classes of devices, such as link budget limited devices, which have issues in decoding the downlink control channel. Improved paging scheduling techniques are also disclosed which more efficiently use PDCCH paging resources.

  • Patent number: 11943752
Abstract: Provided is a radio communication base station device which can prevent lowering of use efficiency of a channel communication resource for performing a frequency diversity transmission when simultaneously performing a frequency scheduling transmission and the frequency diversity transmission in a multicarrier communication. In the device, a modulation unit (12) executes a modulation process on Dch data after encoded so as to generate a Dch data symbol. A modulation unit (22) executes a modulation process on the encoded Lch data so as to generate an Lch data symbol. An allocation unit (103) allocates the Dch data symbol and the Lch data symbol to respective subcarriers constituting an OFDM symbol and outputs them to a multiplexing unit (104). Here, when a plurality of Dch are used for a Dch data symbol of one mobile station, the allocation unit (103) uses Dch of continuous channel numbers.

  • Patent number: 11936576
Abstract: This document describes methods, devices, systems, and means for fifth generation new radio uplink multiplexing assisted by shared grant-free transmission. A user equipment (UE) inserts a first cyclical redundancy check (CRC) into a transport block (TB), encodes the TB, including the CRC, into a codeword (CW). Based on receiving a preemption indicator for part of a first physical resource, the UE selects a first part of the CW for rate matching with a length based on a received uplink (UL) grant and the received preemption indicator. The UE transmits the first part of the CW using the first physical resource, selects a second part of the CW, inserts a second CRC in the selected second part of the CW, and transmits the second part of the CW using a second physical resource.

  • Patent number: 11937129
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for establishing rules for scheduling downlink data transmissions and flow control feedback for the downlink data transmissions to avoid confusion at a base station and a user equipment (UE). In one example, when flow control feedback from a UE is disabled for a downlink data transmission, the UE may still operate according to a timing for reporting flow control feedback for the downlink data transmission. In this example, the UE may drop (e.g., refrain from decoding) other downlink data transmissions based on the timing for reporting flow control feedback. In another example, when flow control feedback from a UE is disabled for a downlink data transmission, other downlink data transmissions to the UE may be scheduled according to one or more rules to avoid confusion.

  • Patent number: 11929961
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may transmit a downlink control transmission and multiple downlink data transmissions to a user equipment (UE). The UE may schedule an uplink data transmission based on the downlink control transmission and may schedule transmission acknowledgement messages based on the multiple downlink data transmissions. The UE may identify that the scheduled uplink data transmission overlaps with the scheduled transmission acknowledgement messages. The UE may generate one or more acknowledgement codebooks for transmission of the multiple transmission acknowledgment messages and may multiplex the one or more acknowledgement codebooks with the uplink data transmission on the uplink data channel.

  • Patent number: 11844064
Abstract: Aspects relate to signaling at least one relaying parameter for a wireless communication device that supports relaying operations. In some examples, the wireless communication device may send such a relaying parameter to a scheduling entity. The scheduling entity may then schedule a relaying operation for the wireless communication device based on the relaying parameter. For example, the scheduling entity may select the resources to be used for the relaying operation based on the relaying parameter. In some examples, a relaying parameter may indicate one or more of a relaying capability of a wireless communication device, an operational condition (e.g., requirement) for relaying by a wireless communication device, a relaying configuration for a wireless communication device, or a combination thereof.

  • Patent number: 11818758
Abstract: An assisted random-access procedure allows band sharing between New Radio Unlicensed (NR-U) and Wi-Fi to improve coexistence of NR-U and Wi-Fi in shared unlicensed bands (e.g., below 7 GHz). To connect to an NR-U network, NR-U User Equipment (UE) receives and decodes an NR-U preamble of an NR-U wireless transmission to determine NR-U channel occupancy time (COT). The NR-U UE detects Wi-Fi wireless transmissions and decodes a Wi-Fi preamble to determine Wi-Fi COT. A random access (RA) opportunity is acquired based upon the NR-U wireless transmission and the NR-U COT. When the RA opportunity is not during the Wi-Fi COT, a PRACh message is transmitted from the NR-U UE to a NR-U base station (gNB) to allow the NR-U UE to join the NR-U network. NR-U transmissions may include an NR-U common preamble that may be decoded by existing Wi-Fi devices to avoid collisions with NR-U wireless transmissions.
