The method includes the procedures of receiving by an array of dual polarized antennas, transmissions from a plurality of transmitters. Each one of the transmitters transmits over the same frequency band and according to the same transmission protocol. Each one of the transmitters is associated with unique multi-access information. The method further includes the procedure of receiving a control transmission from a base station. The base station employs the protocol. The control transmission at least includes a plurality of unique multi-access information respective of the transmitters. The method also includes the procedure of associating between each one of the transmitters and the respective multi-access information and identifying transmitter usage characteristics of at least one selected transmitter according to the received transmission therefrom.

    Abstract: A recipient electronic device that receives a wake-up frame is described. This recipient electronic device may include an interface circuit that communicates with an electronic device, where the interface circuit includes a main radio and a wake-up radio (WUR) that at least selectively transitions the main radio from a lower-power mode to a higher-power mode. During operation, the WUR receives the wake-up frame intended for the recipient electronic device, where the wake-up frame comprises a payload field with data. For example, the wake-up frame may specify: a total size of the wake-up frame, and/or a size of the payload field. In response to the wake-up frame, the WUR selectively transitions the main radio from the lower-power mode to the higher-power mode. Moreover, the main radio provides an acknowledgment associated with the recipient electronic device that indicates that the recipient electronic device received the wake-up frame.

    Abstract: A network control system that achieves high availability for forwarding state computation within a controller cluster by replicating different levels of table state between controllers of the controller cluster. To build a highly available controller cluster, the tables for storing the forwarding state are replicated across the controllers. In order to reduce network traffic between the controllers, fewer tables are replicated to slave controllers, which then recompute the forwarding state of the master controller in order to have a replicate copy of the master controller's forwarding state for possible failover. In other embodiments, more tables are replicated to minimize the recomputations and processor load on the slave controller. The network control system of some embodiments performs continuous snapshotting to minimize downtime associated with reaching a fixed point and replicating the state.
