Abstract: The disclosure relates to an orbital welding head for an orbital welding apparatus for connecting by means of a cable to a welding current source in a welding current source housing, said current source being equipped with a base controller. The orbital welding head has a tube mount and a welding electrode holder rotatably supported opposite the tube mount for mounting a welding electrode, wherein the orbital welding apparatus has a motor, which is configured in order to drive the welding electrode holder and thus rotate it opposite the tube mount, wherein the orbital welding head has a chamber for inert gas, which is configured in order to surround the welding electrode of the orbital welding head during a welding process and to essentially terminate it outwardly. The orbital welding head has an electronic circuit, which has a memory arranged in the orbital welding head. The electronic circuit is configured in order to store one or more electrode load values of the welding electrode.
Abstract: A laser scanner includes a rotary member, light-transmitting glasses, and a mirror. The rotary member rotates about a rotation axis. The light-transmitting glasses are disposed on the rotary member. The mirror guides a laser beam such that the laser beam is incident on the light-transmitting glass. When the rotary member is viewed in a direction parallel to the rotation axis, a polygon is formed by connecting inner surfaces of the light-transmitting glasses. Given that the angle formed between the inner surface of each light-transmitting glass and a straight line parallel to the rotation axis is defined as an inclination angle, the inclination angles of at least two of the light-transmitting glasses have different values.

Abstract: A system includes a welding torch, a welding power supply unit, a remote device, and control circuitry. The welding power supply unit is configured to supply power to the welding torch. The remote device is coupled between the welding torch and the welding power supply unit. Additionally, the remote device is configured to detect a polarity of a welding operation. The control circuitry is configured to determine if the detected polarity is appropriate based on one or more welding parameters. Further, the control circuitry is configured to adjust the polarity of the welding operation.

Abstract: A heater is provided for a vehicle illumination assembly. The heater includes a heat transfer body, a heat source, and a mounting base. The heat transfer body has a top surface and a bottom surface. The top surface has a higher emissivity than the bottom surface. Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing welding type power is disclosed. A welding type power supply includes an input circuit, a controller and an output circuit. The input circuit receives an input power signal and provides an intermediate power signal. The output circuit receives the intermediate power signal and provides a welding type power output. The output circuit has an inverter with at least two inverter switches, and a clamp circuit that limits the voltage across the inverter. The clamp circuit captures and buffers the excess energy, and returns the excess energy to an input of the inverter over a plurality of switching cycles. The controller has control outputs connected to the input circuit and the output circuit, to control them.

Abstract: A composite floor structure with a new metal decking having openings over the theoretical center of underlying support I-beams which now allows top flanges of beams to be painted and a welding zone for stud shear connectors within the openings then cleaned of paint, galvanizing and contaminates. The openings, which include deck caps if needed, allow visual inspection regarding the deck being tight against the beam and are spaced across the metal decking to provide a desired number of stud shear connectors and facilitate finding the center of the I-beam, provide a clean weld surface and minimize arc blow, weld fumes, weld time and required weld current. The thickness of the deck is no longer limited, and neither are the number of sheets stacked upon one another. All of which provide increased safety, efficiency and quality assurance while helping to control risk management.

Abstract: A heating element can be moved by a machine, such as a machine including a fan, an actuator, or a conveyor. The heating element can be attached to or embedded in a fan or an actuator. Or, the heating element can be attached to or embedded in a conveyor belt of a conveyor. A combination of a heating element and a mover machine can be further combined with a heat radiating wall. The heating element and the machine can be arranged behind the wall. And, when the heating element and the machine are powered on, the heating element converts electrical energy into heat, which increases the temperature of the wall, and the machine moves the heating element to be next to different areas of the wall. This allows for heat to be distributed more evenly to the wall than it would be if the heating element did not move.
Abstract: A home appliance, in particular a home cooking appliance, includes a home appliance cavity used as a cooking cavity. The home appliance cavity includes a substrate that is a fibrous matrix and an inorganic resin that is thermally resistant. In certain examples, the home appliance cavity is a single unit construction, eliminating assembly seams. Also described herein are methods of making the home appliance cavity.
