  • Patent number: 10104335
Abstract: A device applied to a display includes a receiving circuit, a detecting circuit, an image processing circuit and a response time enhancing circuit. The receiving circuit receives an input image signal. The detecting circuit detects a frame rate of image data of a frame in the input image signal. The image processing circuit performs image processing on the image data of the frame to generate a target pixel value of multiple pixels in the frame. The response time enhancing circuit determines multiple adjusted pixel values of the multiple pixels according to the frame rate, and outputs the adjusted pixel values to a display panel. For a pixel, the adjusted pixel values generated for the pixel under different frame rates are different.

  • Patent number: 10009579
Abstract: A sensor system according to an embodiment of the invention may process depth data and visible light data for a more accurate detection. Depth data assists where visible light images are susceptible to false positives. Visible light images (or video) may similarly enhance conclusions drawn from depth data alone. Detections may be object-based or defined with the context of a target object. Depending on the target object, the types of detections may vary to include motion and behavior. Applications of the described sensor system include motion guided interfaces where users may interact with one or more systems through gestures. The sensor system described may also be applied to counting systems, surveillance systems, polling systems, retail store analytics, or the like.

  • Patent number: 9992459
Abstract: A lighting apparatus includes: a light modulator which modulates light emitted from a light source, using frames received by a receiver; an illuminator which emits the modulated light; and a controller. The controller periodically performs a storage control which continues for a predetermined period of time and in which, every time the receiver receives a frame, the received frame is stored into a storage. When a detector detects an interruption in the reception of the frames at the receiver, the light modulator modulates the light emitted from the light source, sequentially using two or more consecutive frames stored into the storage.

  • Patent number: 9973661
Abstract: An interlaced video signal can include content of different types, such as interlaced content and progressive content. The progressive content may have different cadences according to the ratio between the frame rate of the progressive content and the field rate of the interlaced video signal. Cadence analysis is performed to identify the cadence of the video signal and/or to determine field pairings when progressive content is included. As described herein, motion information (e.g. motion vectors) for blocks of fields of a video signal can be used for the cadence analysis. The use of motion information provides a robust method of performing cadence analysis.
