A gap is positioned between the first arm and the second arm, and a lock member is movable into and out of the gap between a locked position and an unlocked position. In the locked position, the lock member holds the second arm in the closed position.

Abstract: To prevent damage of a solid cosmetic material in a container, a solid cosmetic material holding body (1) provided with a tubular installed portion (1a) installed in a container main body (2), a tubular elastic body (1c) connected to a lower side of the installed portion (1a) and is constituted by a resin spring expanding and contracting vertically by slits if and a holding portion (1b) arranged inside the installed portion (1a), provided with plural legs (1j) extending vertically and arranged apart from each other in a peripheral direction, is installed within the container main body (2) , wherein upper portions (1k, 1m) of the legs (1j) hold a solid cosmetic material (G) having a dome-shaped convex portion (G2) in such a manner that the convex portion (G2) protrudes upward and lower portions of the legs (1j) are coupled to a lower portion of the resin spring (1c).

Abstract: A loose powder container is provided. The powder container includes a cap and a receptacle for storing the loose powder. The cap includes a brush integrated into the cap. The cap also comprises two sections, such that, in an initial position an upper section is aligned with respect to a lower section of the cap. Clockwise rotation of the upper section in order to misalign it with the lower section of the cap, results in the brush protruding from the cap. The brush is completely protruded when the upper section of the cap is re-aligned with the lower section of the cap upon a 180 degree rotation in the clockwise direction. The fully protruded brush is twirled around to pick loose powder through a perforated layer comprised in the receptacle. The brush is retracted upon anti-clockwise rotation of the upper section, to align it in the initial position with the lower section.

Abstract: A hair clip and hairpin combining device includes a pin member pivotally coupled to a plate with a pivot axle and for allowing the plate to be rotated relative to the pin member between an open working position and a folded clamping position, and a spring member coupled between the ears and the flaps for maintaining the plate and the pin member either at the open working position as a hairpin or at the folded clamping position as a hair clip, and thus for allowing the hair clip and hairpin combining device to be changeable between the hair clip and the hairpin or for being used as either a hair clip or a hairpin.

Abstract: A hairstyling device includes a pair of telescopically adjustable legs that have linear female portions and inverted T-shaped male portions, including vertically registered top regions slidably fitted into the female portions and horizontally registered bottom regions coupled to the top regions that engage a support surface. A casing is coupled to the legs and has a linear exit slot extending therealong. A stabilizing clamp is pivotally connected to an exterior of the casing and is provided with a fastening clip. Spindles are seated within the casing. A mechanism is included for vertically raising a group of the spindles out from the casing. A mechanism is included for horizontally registering the group of spindles with the exit slot such that remaining spindles are prohibited from exiting through the exit slot, thereby automatically adjusting a thickness of the hair clumps that are separated by the selected spindles.

Abstract: A hair styling tool includes a body, a cylinder extending from the body, the cylinder rotatable relative to the body, a motor for rotating the cylinder, a heater to heat the cylinder, and a styling arm pivotally attached to the body. The hair styling tool may have a generally clam shell configuration, wherein the styling arm is movable between an open position in which the styling arm is distant the cylinder and a closed position in which the styling arm is proximate to the cylinder, such as contacting the cylinder. The styling arm may also include a brush head with fixed or retractable bristles and/or a smoothing plate.

Abstract: A hair extension clip having an upper jaw and a lower jaw connected by a hinged member to move between an open and a closed position to grip hair of the customer. Teeth disposed on an inner surface of the upper jaw engage through slots in the lower jaw and in the process separate hair into strands for hair extension treatments. A platform integrally formed with the lower jaw provides a working area to lift hair strands away from the customer's scalp allowing use of multiple modalities of treatment to lessen risk. The upper jaw, the lower jaw and the platform are arcuately shaped to conform to the customer's head.

Abstract: A hair-cutting and styling device comprising a body, a detachable cap and strap, a cutting blade, and a blade clamp. The body consists of a first upper section, second middle section, and third lower section, the first upper and third lower sections disposed angularly in profile. The first upper section contains a depression on one side thereof, first and second opposed elongate slots, and a third slot located between first and second slots. The strap is inserted at opposed ends thereof within respective first and second opposed elongate slots of upper portion of the body so as to create a loop into which the fingertip of a user is inserted. A cap is situated within the depression to assist in securing the strap to the upper portion of the body. A blade is situated within a depression with the cutting edge of the blade extending for some distance beyond bottom side edge of the depression so as to be exposed from within the device for making contact with hair for cutting and styling.
