Abstract: An advertisement display device for use on the handle of a shopping cart is provided. The device has a versatile display area on which a set of inner advertisement frames and one larger, outer advertisement frame are located. Advertisement sheets may be removably mounted in the frames. Fastening members are provided for clamping the multipiece device onto the handle of an existing shopping cart without disturbing the handle.

Abstract: A parting surface structure of a bulletin device having a device frame, includes an open bearing portion in the device frame, a parting surface body formed as a front face of the device frame, the parting surface body including a pivot for pivotally mounting the parting surface body in the open bearing portion, and an abutment member in the open bearing portion for preventing removal of the pivot, the abutment member being rotatable with the pivot in the open bearing portion.

Abstract: An annunciator apparatus has a light directing device that efficiently causes light to pass from a light source, such as a lamp, toward a generally flat surface of the light directing device in an efficient manner. The light pipe of the annunciator incorporates parabolic rear surfaces that are reflective. In addition, discs of partially reflective and partially transmissive material are disposed directly between a light source and the preselected plane toward which light is directed perpendicularly. The annunciator comprises an indicia plate which incorporates layers to accomplish the desired effect of having a reduced reflection characteristic. Indicia are represented on front and back surfaces of a substrate and aligned with each other to define a "pinhole" effect that significantly reduces light reflected back from the light directing device toward the viewer.

Abstract: An elongate produce information display tag for presenting product information at the distal end of a product support hook is useful on both wire-back hooks and plate-back hooks. The tag has a mounting portion with selective apertures by which the tab is engaged on the hook. One of the apertures is associated with a strip of contact adhesive extending across the mounting portion by which the tag can be adhered to the front surface of a back plate of a plate-back hook. The other aperture merges into a keyhole-type slot which can be used to embrace over the depending leg at the back of a hook by which the hook is welded to a back plate or rod-like bracket. The intermediate portion of the tag which extends over the hook has a fold down stabilizing tab which engages the hook and provides lateral stabilization of the tag.

Abstract: An improved mode of construction is provided for a display device of the kind comprising an array of triangular-section slats rotated in synchronism in 120.degree. steps to present repeatedly to view, in sequence, three compound display surfaces, each carrying a respective poster or the like. In embodiments of the invention, each slat has a respective bearing and driving module with a respective rotary member releasably drivingly engaging the slat and with a respective cam, driving the rotary member and driven in turn by a driving shaft, passing through the cams of the bearing and driving modules of all of the slats. The bearing and driving modules are received in a stack within a hollow extrusion which forms one side member of a frame of the display device. The opposite side member of the frame receives a stack of bearing members rotatably supporting the opposite ends of the respective slats.

Abstract: A diagrammatic indicator assembly includes a hollow, transparent housing which is substantially Z-shaped in side view with upper and lower terminal portions interconnected by an angled central portion. Each of the terminal portions define reservoirs adapted to carry a sandy medium stored within the housing. An inclined plate is mounted within the housing and includes opposing sides provided with a plurality of holes for retaining some of the sandy medium as it flows thereover. The housing can be orientated in a first upright position wherein the sandy medium flows over and is retained in the holes on one side of the plate and an inverted, upright position wherein the sandy medium flows over and is retained in the holes on the other side of the plate.

Abstract: An illuminant photo frame, comprising: a transparent frame body constituted by elongated lines and cross lines respectively having a back side created with a plurality of integrant 45.degree. prisms in more than one flight of stages to collectively form a certain pattern, a recess arranged at the back side of the naturally met elongated and cross lines in cross opposition to the other for installing a small bulb each thereat, and a photoresistance in control of electricity supply to small bulbs to have them transmit lights automatically at night, which sent from two sides of each recess to travel forward alongside elongated and cross lines will make an internal total reflection at each 45.degree. slant of the prism to project out of the front side, thereby, with a crystal illumination given to the pattern. And the electricity supply will automatically cease at daytime.

Abstract: An apparatus for displaying an advertisement or message inside a golf cup is comprised of a bottom disk releasably securable inside the golf cup, a sheet of material having an advertisement or message marked thereon, and a transparent top disk that is assembled to the bottom disk with the sheet of material enclosed therebetween. The top disk is assembled to the bottom disk by friction, sealing engagement between the two disks. The sealing engagement between the disks protects the sheet of material enclosed between the disks from the outside environment. The transparency of the top disk enables the sheet of material to display an advertisement or message marked on the sheet through the top disk. The message or advertisement displayed is visible from outside the golf cup into which the apparatus of the invention is inserted.

Abstract: Chair comprising an underframe, a back being pivotally connected to the underframe, a seat being pivotally connected to the back, the seat at its front edge also being pivotally connected to a foot rest which by a guide is so connected to the underframe that the angle which the foot rest forms with the seat varies with displacement of the seat. The control consist of sliding device being pivotally connected to the underframe and spring which impart a force impacting in the longitudinal direction to the sliding device in dependence on the position of the chair.

Abstract: A low-profile, light-weight advertising display is provided for exhibiting advertisements on trucks, billboards and the like. The advertising display is provided with a self-tensioned display panel which resists sagging and wrinkling by virtue of its own elasticity, and a display panel mounting which allows convenient installation and removal.

Abstract: A sign providing for the serial display of three discreet messages is disclosed. The disclosed sign has an array of discrete vertical three sided sign elements provided with an improved sign element mounts and bearings, improved detachable face plates for the display of the three sign messages, and an improved sign element drive for simultaneous rotation of the sign element array in 120.degree. increments for sequential display of the three discrete messages of the sign.

Abstract: A stand for mounting a device having a rib member includes a mast, with a pair of spaced mounting clips secured to the mast. The mounting clips are spaced from the outer surface of the mast so as to form pockets therewith for receiving the rib member. Upon insertion between the mounting clips, the rib member is pivoted for entry into the pockets and a locking pin receivable in an aperture in the rib member prevents a dislocating pivoting in an opposite direction.

Abstract: A tag for displaying pricing and other information relating to products on a merchandiser such as a "Pegboard" hook, a shelf or a rack. The tag is adapted to be attached universally to various types and sizes of scanner arms associated with the hook and also to fence-type shelves and racks.

Abstract: An advertisement frame into which poster advertisements can be inserted is attached to the rear or side of a semitrailer. The advertisement frame includes a unitary main frame portion, a plexiglass protective cover and a roller assembly. The roller assembly is mounted at the bottom of the main frame and constitutes a mechanism for feeding and removing posters into and from the frame.

Abstract: A frame flower display is provided which includes: a frame mountable upon a vertical support surface; a watertight container removably fitted within the frame for holding the stems of a floral arrangement and for providing water to retain the freshness of the flowers; and two upright panels, the first concealing the container from view and the second forming the rear closure of the display. The container has an elevated ridge about its side and lower surfaces permitting easy manipulation thereof and reducing the area of contact between the container and the frame thereby eliminating potential water damage. Decorative fabric coverings joined to the frontal portions of the upright panels provide a floral arrangement with the appearance, to the casual observer, that such is floating or hovering before the display without any apparent means of attachment.

Abstract: The upper seat part according to the instant invention is provided with several ridges 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 extending from its bottom part 1 upward, said ridges being approximately parallel to each other as well as transversal to the seating direction, whereby the forward ridges 2, 3 are inclined toward the front while the other ridges 4, 5, 6 are inclined toward the back. The ridges 2, 3 are equipped laterally, at their upper free ends with projections 7,8 extending approximately at a parallel to the bottom part 1 toward the back side while the ridges 4, 5, 6 inclined toward the back are provided with projections 9, 10, 11 laterally at their upper free ends, said projections extending also approximately at a parallel to the bottom plate 1, however toward the front, so that the projections 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 partly cover the ridge intervals 12 and constitute a seating surface 13 together with the upper free ends of the ridges 1, 3, 4, 5, 6.

Abstract: An infant seat having a seating surface positionable between upright and reclined orientations, the seating surface being supported by arms which are connected to torsion springs in a base, the torsion springs providing a bouncing motion to the seating surface in both the upright and reclined orientations. The base includes a rear support member which pivots between a support position, in which the member is substantially coplanar with the base, and a collapsed or folded position, in which the support member is pivoted adjacent to the seating surface. In a preferred embodiment, the connection between the seating surface and support arms includes a pivot plate pivotally connected to the seating surface and support arms and includes a slot engaged by a shoulder rivet attached to the support arms which defines limits of pivotable movement of the seating surface.

Abstract: A seat assembly is disclosed with an articulating seat cushion rotatable about a transverse axis near the front end of the seat cushion. The seat back is reclinable and is coupled to the rear of the seat cushion so as to raise the rear end of the seat cushion in response to rearward reclining of the seat back whereby the seat occupant's hip point is raised as the seat back is reclined to provide a more comfortable recliner. The recliner drive mechanism includes a lead screw with a motor/transmission assembly to drive the lead screw and includes a thrust washer carried by the lead screw to transfer axial loads on the lead screw directly to the motor mount rather than allowing the lead screw loads to be transferred to the internal components of the motor/transmission assembly.

Abstract: A reusable indexing tab includes first and second interconnected wing portions which are pivotally connected along a hinge portion. Each wing portion includes a first panel which acts as a clamping jaw, a second panel which acts as an index tab, and a hinge portion connecting the first and second panels. In the preferred embodiment the wing portions are identical with one wing portion inverted to interconnect with the other wing portion. A clamping force is produced by forming a bend in each first panel generally midway between the upper and lower edges, with the upper edge bent rearwardly. The bias of the bends produces a clamping force between the first panels. A lock mechanism on the second panels will selectively maintain the wing portions in their clamped position. Preferably, a second bend is formed in each wing portion with each first panel bent rearwardly along the longitudinal connection with the associated hinge portion.

Abstract: The picture frame assembly includes a picture frame which has, in cross-section, a side wall, a turned in flange at the rear end of the side wall extending forwardly to a free end and a rearwardly extending flange at the front end of the side wall which provides a forward locator slot between the rearwardly extending flange and the side wall. The frame assembly also includes two or more retainer members. Each retainer member includes a generally U or V shaped retainer clip having an inner linear/planar leg portion having a flange extending laterally outwardly therefrom. A bight portion extends from the inner leg portion at an angle thereto, and an outer leg portion extends in a non-linear/non-planar manner to an outer end hook formation. The laterally extending flange of the clip member is received in the locator slot and the hook formation has a groove which is adapted to receive the free end of the short flange extending forwardly from the side wall toward the picture in the picture frame.
