Abstract: A cell site maintenance system. The system comprises a plurality of data stores, a processor, a memory coupled to the processor, and a part replacement prediction application stored in memory. When executed by the processor the application extracts features based on data read from the data stores, executes a plurality of part machine learning models, where each part machine learning model analyses some of the extracted features by a multi-label classification model trained for a specific part associated with that part machine learning model and each part machine learning model outputs a probability that the associated part can fix the cell site associated with the trouble ticket, and, based on a probability output by a part machine learning model associated with a first part exceeding a predefined threshold, determining that the first part is to be pulled from a part inventory to make ready for a service truck.

  • Patent number: 11800346
Abstract: A first access and mobility management function (AMF) in a network receives, from user equipment (UE), a registration request listing a first network slice and a second network slice. Upon determining that the first AMF supports the first, but not the second, network slice, the first AMF causes selection of (i) the first AMF as a session and mobility management (SM)-AMF to perform mobility management, and first session management signaling for the first network slice; and (ii) a second AMF as a session management only (SO)-AMF to perform only second session management signaling for the second network slice. The first AMF, acting as SM-AMF, performs the first session management signaling for a first data session on the first network slice, while the second AMF, acting as SO-AMF, performs only the second session management signaling for a second data session on the second network slice.

  • Patent number: 11751257
Abstract: Technology neutral coexistence and high priority traffic is disclosed for use in unlicensed frequency bands. Synchronization boundaries are defined in which synchronous contention windows across all radio access technologies attempting access to a shared communication channel occur periodically. Between the synchronous contention windows, the nodes may return to asynchronous access procedures. Such synchronous access procedures may be applicable to certain power classes or deployment type nodes. Additionally, various priority schemes for the synchronous contention window may be used to ensure protection of higher priority nodes or traffic, such as ultra-reliable low latency communication (URLLC) traffic. According to certain aspects, the deployment of such synchronous access methodology may be triggered via signaling from initiating devices.

  • Patent number: 11740320
Abstract: Disclosed are techniques to determine a position of a user equipment (UE). In an aspect, the UE receives a plurality of positioning reference signals (PRS) from a plurality of cells. The UE determines a plurality of time of arrivals (TOA) of the plurality of PRSs, and prunes the plurality of TOAs based on the plurality of PRSs. The UE then derives a time difference of arrival (TDOA) vector from the pruned TOAs. The TDOA vector includes multiple TOA related measurements of multiple cells. The UE prunes the TOAs such that the cells represented in the TDOA vector are sufficiently geographically dispersed to determine the position of the UE at least in 2D.

  • Patent number: 11743427
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for enhancing communications mobility in an enterprise using distributed communication controllers. The distributed communication controllers provide overlapping communication ranges that are capable of passing off call responsibilities as a user and user device navigates an enterprise ensuring full call coverage throughout the enterprise. As the user device moves outside of the range of a first distributed communication controller into the range of a second distributed communication controller while on a call, the system of distributed communication controllers transfer the call responsibilities provided by the first distributed communication controller to the second distributed communication controller, seamlessly, allowing the user to continue the call without interruption.
