Abstract: An agglomeration process by which granules are formed by the steps of:
(a) injecting polymer having sufficient viscoelasticity; and
(b) impacting particles on the polymer at the injection point.
The present invention is advantageous because it overcomes the problems of previous granulation process and subsequent art processes by having a very low recycle rate and allowing for control of granule size. It is particularly useful for fertilizer granule formation using a ureaform polymer and particles comprised of ammonium sulfate.
Abstract: A conjugated linoleic acid is prepared in industrial scale as a hydrolyzed isomerized product for blending into bulk domestic animal feeds. The CLA-containing isomerized hydrolyzed oil from sunflower and safflower seeds has sufficiently low levels of phosphatides and sterols to permit crude processing and incorporation into feeds of an undried, undistilled oil fraction without toxic or unpalatable effects.
Abstract: A method of forming a methylol prepolymer and a particle coated in with the prepolymer. The method involves providing a source of methylol urea and a source of aldehyde and reacting the urea and the aldehyde in the presence of an excess of urea to form the methylol urea prepolymer. The coated particle is preferably a controlled-release fertilizer particle. The particle is a substrate coated with a substantially uniform coating compromising a total nitrogen content ranging from about 39N to about 42N. The coating includes a low molecular weight methylene urea compounds.
Abstract: Novel flake feeds are described, especially for aquatic animals, such as fish, shrimps and invertebrates, characterized in that the flakes have a uniform form, a variable thickness and a water content of from 1 to 30%, as well as a process for the production thereof.
Abstract: A process is provided for promoting bone modeling and chondrocyte functioning in growing canines. The process includes administering to a growing canine a pet food composition which includes an appropriate amount and ratio of dietary n-6 and n-3 fatty acids. The composition can further include a source of protein, a source of fat, a source of fiber, and a source of carbohydrates. Use of the preferred concentrations of n-6 and n-3 fatty acids can promote synthesis and tissue accumulation of down regulating elements of inflamation, which stimulate bone formation and optimize bone modeling.

Abstract: A free-flowing fertilizer comprising:
i) from 25 to 99.5% by weight of a powdered water soluble nitrogen containing fertilizer.
ii) from 0.05 to 1.5% by weight of a polyacrylamide liquid emulsion/dispersion.
iii) from 0.1 to 3.0% by weight of a polyacrylamide powder whose particle size is primarily 50 to 100 mesh in size.
Abstract: A process for making bait from poultry waste unfit for human consumption, for aquatic food sources such as fish, crab, conch, eel, shrimp, lobster, crayfish, etc. The poultry waste is picked up from chicken farms and poultry processing plants in refrigerated or frozen containers and are forwarded to a processing plant. The poultry waste is processed to eliminate any remaining feathers and internal organs. The breast portions of the poultry waste are removed and separated and are processed according to various specific client requirements in the fishing and crabbing industries. This processing involves further separation and packaging of the poultry waste, which is then sterilized by either radiation (first embodiment process) or ultra high hydrostatic treatment (second embodiment process). The poultry waste is then sent to a distribution center to be sold to various fishing and crabbing industry users.
Abstract: There is provided a method for preparing leaf proteins with Rumex Acetosa L. and obtained product thereby. After Rumex L. was washed, squeezed, the juice was heated to 70-90° C., the proteins were precipated, the supernatants were removed, Rumex L. leaf protein products were obtained. The byproducts (supernatants) can be used to soak straws to enhance nutritive ingredients and palatability. Grass residue can be used as grass powders, grass pellets or grass bricks. The obtained leaf proteins enriched in proteins and various amino acids, vitamins and iron, magnesium, zinc, calcium and organic germanium, it can be used as protein feed, also it can be used to improve people's dietary structure.
Abstract: A pet diet composition comprising at least about 40 wt. % meat and cellulosic material in quantities effective to allow extrusion and cutting of the composition post extruder.

Abstract: We describe a highly stable oat oil-conjugated linoleic acid isomeric mixture composition as an ingredient in an oral neutraceutical supplement and method of delivery to equine that meets the dietary needs of neonates, immuno-compromised, athletic horses, and geriatrics. The increased activity and/or stress levels exhibited by the above mentioned groups requires 2-4 times the daily digestible energy as well as additional vitamins and minerals. The neutraceutical supplement consists of at least 20% crude fat, which contains at least a 50% oat oil-6% CLA isomeric mixture composition; and which imparts a remarkable stability to the formulation.
Abstract: A resource transformation and regeneration process for creating beneficial organic nutrient-rich products from raw organic biosolid waste material is provided. The process comprises initially mixing the raw organic biosolid waste material to a substantially uniform size, oxidizing and transforming the raw organic biosolid waste material, secondarily mixing the oxidized and transformed organic biosolid waste material, and drying the oxidized and regenerated organic biomeal material, producing a beneficial nutrient-rich product for plants and animals.
Abstract: A method of visually marking an agricultural commodity before or after processing is provided. The markers are colored plant protein-derived pellets that can be made in different sizes and shapes for mixing into various agricultural commodities as a visual label or “taggant” during storage and shipment. The invention greatly simplifies the tracking and identification of commodity products in storage or in transit.
Abstract: The invention is a sprayable organic fertilizer for application to a plant or plant soil that includes denatured soybean particles having a total protein content of at least fifty and up to ninety percent by weight, wherein the denatured soybean particles have a particle size of no greater than 250 microns, and wherein the denatured soybean particles are dispersed in an adequate amount of a liquid carrier so that the particles may be evenly sprayed onto the plant or plant soil through a liquid applicator. The denatured soybean particles may be mixed with a yeast extract that stimulates microbial growth. The sprayable organic fertilizer cannot be leached from the soil; cannot burn target plants; enhances the ecosystem of the root zone of the target plants; and, provides a high nitrogen analysis.

Abstract: This invention relates to methods for treating wastewater sludge cake with acid and calcium carbonate under acidic, low heat conditions to produce a stable, soil-like or granular, finished product containing calcium carbonate, useful as a nitrogen fertilizer, synthetic soil component or soil conditioner for pH control.
Abstract: For preparing cattle feed mixtures, especially pumpable liquid feed mixtures, the feed components are added consecutively to a weighing and mixing container and mixed. Before or while the feed mixture is being prepared, the pH of the mixture is measured and, if it exceeds a specified value during a continued mixing process, acid is added as the last additive to the feed mixture until the specified value is reached. For this purpose, a pH measuring probe, which is passed through the wall of the container, is provided in the lower region of the weighing and mixing container.
Abstract: The present invention relates to dry, flowable nutritive supplement mixtures and to processes for their manufacture. The mixtures of the invention provide liquid nutritive supplements, containing, for example, one or more amino acids, in an organic carrier. The organic carriers of the invention are preferably high-fiber and/or proteinaceous compositions, such as protein byproducts (soybean feed, for example). The process for making the mixtures of the invention involves mixing the liquid nutritive supplements and the organic carrier under controlled conditions for absorption of the supplement into the carrier, followed by multiple or continuous additions of a reactive metal oxide, to produce the dry, flowable nutritive supplement products.
