Abstract: Embodiments of the instrument inventory system create, record and enable access of data about collections of instruments and tools such as surgical instruments and dental instruments. The instrument inventory system includes at least one user interface, at least one instrument interface, an instrument processor and a database storing instrument records. The instrument inventory system includes a training function which enables the system to create a data record for new instruments when the system encounters new instruments.

Abstract: An inventory system comprised of a central computing device in communication with one or more remote computing devices is disclosed. The central computing device is configured to update inventory information for inventory items held within the inventory system based on information received from the remote computing devices. The remote computing devices are configured to transmit updated inventory information to the central computing devices when an inventory item is newly added to the inventory system and when an inventory item is taken out of the inventory system. The remote computing devices also correspond to one or more inventory units for storing the inventory items. The remote computing devices are configured to transmit order requests to the central computing device that request additional inventory items for their corresponding inventory units.

Abstract: This disclosure describes, in part, techniques for collecting item preferences of users at a centralized location and propagating these item preferences to users and merchants in an intelligent manner In some instances, the centralized location is a payment service that functions to both authorize payment instruments of users for costs of transactions conducted at the merchant, and collect and propagate the item preferences to the merchants and the users.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to enhanced tracking of processed events. A computing platform may receive event processing identifiers corresponding to a particular event. Using the event processing identifiers, the computing platform may generate event linkage information corresponding to the particular event, and may store the event processing identifiers along with the event linkage information. The computing platform may receive a request to access event lifecycle information corresponding to the particular event. Using the event linkage information, the computing platform may identify a plurality of event processing systems performed actions associated with the particular event. The computing platform may request and receive, from each of the plurality of event processing systems, system-specific event lifecycle information corresponding to the particular event.

Abstract: A refrigerating appliance includes a cabinet having an inner liner that defines at least one aperture for accessing a refrigerating compartment. A door is operably coupled to the cabinet and is operable between open and closed positions. A plurality of storage surfaces is positioned within the refrigerating compartment. Each storage surface is adapted to receive at least one temporarily stored item. A scanning apparatus is adapted to record data related to the storage surfaces and the at least one temporarily stored item. The scanning apparatus conducts first and second data capturing phases. The secondary data recorded during the second data capturing phase is compared against previous data recorded during the first data capturing phase to create a current inventory manifest. The current inventory manifest is compared with a set of predetermined parameters related to the at least one temporarily stored item to selectively provide an output.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for generating and using immutable records generated from transaction records maintained at a cloud storage system for transaction ledger generation are described. The method may include accessing transaction records in a transaction record data store maintained by a cloud services provider system, where each transaction record generated by the commerce platform in response to the commerce platform processing a transaction. The method further includes accessing a plurality of revenue records, each having a unique key. The method may also include generating a plurality of candidate ledger entries, each candidate ledger entry comprises at least a subset of the plurality of data fields from the revenue record data object, and determining whether a revenue record matches a candidate ledger entry based on a comparison of the unique key.

Abstract: An aspect of the present disclosure facilitates continuing interaction with ongoing transactions in ERP systems. In one embodiment, a system maintains a configuration data specifying transaction types of interest, and a respective set of actions and respective set of data fields associated with each transaction type. The system then monitors transactions performed in an ERP system to identify ongoing transactions of the transaction types. Upon receiving from a user, a request for ongoing transactions of interest, the system sends for display a list of ongoing transactions, a respective set of actions, a respective set of data fields and corresponding current values associated with each ongoing transaction. Upon receiving from the user, data indicating selection of an action associated with a specific ongoing transaction of the list, the system performs the selected action for the specific ongoing transaction in the ERP system.

Abstract: A method for management of financial transactions associated with a funding agreement may include: receiving, at the award information management system and from an awarding organization, details for a funding award comprising an identification of an award recipient, an award amount, and a condition on the use of the award; notifying an award drawdown management system of the award details; identifying a plurality of participating financial institutions to the award recipient; receiving a registration of an account at one of the financial institutions for receiving drawdown funds; communicating an amount of the payment to the fund reporting and analysis system; receiving transaction details from the financial institution having the award recipient's registered account; and providing reports of all transactions in the registered account and any and all optional card accounts with detailed analysis of part transaction, current balances and predictions of future drawdown requests.

Abstract: A method and apparatus is described for performing transaction tracing. The method may include mapping one or more funds flow transactions into each account to one or more funds flow transactions out of said each account based on a first-in-first-out ordering. The method may also include generating an initial graph from the mappings of the transactions for each said account. Furthermore, the method may include transforming the initial graph to a function graph, wherein the functional graph is a directed pseudoforest where each node has an out degree of at most one. Then, the method may include for a node in the functional graph, performing a trace of the transaction generating a set of transactions that contributed to the transaction.

Abstract: Using contactless cards to pay for offline transactions. An application executing on a mobile device may receive, via a communications interface of a contactless card, an account identifier of the contactless card, and transaction data received by the contactless card from a POS device via the communications interface, the transaction data comprising at least an identifier of a merchant account, a timestamp, and an amount of the transaction, a network connection between the POS device and a payment server not available. The application may transmit the account identifier and the transaction data to the payment server via a cellular network connection of the mobile device. The mobile device may receive, from the payment server via the cellular network connection, authorization of a payment for the transaction. The application may generate a graphical indication of the authorization of the payment for the transaction and output the graphical indication of the authorization.

Abstract: Embodiments for determining a traded item's value are described herein. An embodiment includes identifying conditions for use in computing a value of the tradable object. The embodiment further includes determining whether a condition is satisfied based on market data, for example, and if the condition is satisfied, then determining the value of the item based on a rule associated with the condition; and if the condition is not satisfied, then determining whether a subsequent condition is satisfied. If a subsequent condition is satisfied, then determining the value of the tradable object based on a rule associated with the subsequent condition. An embodiment further includes computing an open profit and loss value based on the item's value. Other embodiments are also disclosed.

The method includes obtaining additional information from one or more additional data sources based on the target objective and the trip-related information, determining, based on the trip-related information and the additional information, a tax or subsidy associated with the trip, and providing information indicative of the tax or subsidy to the operator.

Abstract: A central server receives API calls requesting services. The central server identifies whether the API calls are associated with a merchant. A distribution is constructed based on the API calls. The central server further executes a pre-defined rule to identify a set of the API calls belonging to a maximum percentile in the distribution and a set of the API calls belonging to a minimum percentile in the distribution before estimating a set of the anomalous data points with one or more goodness of fit functions against the maximum percentile and the minimum percentile. A GUI receives a critical value from a user. In response to receiving the critical value, the central server generates probabilities of the set of the anomalous data points before displaying a set of the anomalous data points in response to the probabilities being less than the critical value.

Abstract: Systems and methods for automating a take-out ordering process. In an embodiment, menu data is imported from a restaurant Point-of-Sale (POS) system over at least one network. The menu data may comprise a plurality of menu items. A menu user interface is generated. The menu user interface may comprise one or more menu screens, which comprise a subset of one or more of the plurality of menu items. A selection of at least one menu item from the subset may be received from a user. Up-sell options can be determined and provided to the user. Once completed, an order is sent to the restaurant POS system over the at least one network. The order can comprise the selected menu item(s) and any of the up-sell options selected by the user.

Abstract: The disclosure herein describes scheduling an automatic payment based on a recommended payment schedule that is generated based on a cashflow pattern. Cashflow data associated with a plurality of invoices is received, the cashflow data including data associated with past paid payments, past received payments, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. A cashflow pattern is determined based on the past paid payments and the past received payments. Then, a payment pattern associated with the accounts payable is generated based on the cashflow pattern and the accounts receivable, wherein the payment pattern indicates a pattern of payments that optimizes a net present value of funds associated with the set of accounts payable over an associated period. A recommended payment schedule based on the payment pattern is then provided via a user interface and, based on receiving input in response to the provided recommended payment schedule, at least one automatic payment is scheduled based on the payment pattern.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for accessing records using derivative locators. An open financial transaction may be initiated by a consumer at a merchant. The merchant may provide information relating to the transaction, which may include information about the consumer's device, to a repository. The merchant may provide transaction information to the acquiring bank, which may provide transaction to the global financial network, which may provide transaction information to an issuing bank. One or more requesting party (e.g., one or more of the acquiring bank, global financial network, or issuing bank) may formulate a derivative locator based on the transaction information received. The derivative locator may function as an index through which records in the repository may be accessed by the requesting party. A time comparison may be made in assisting with accessing the correct record in the repository.

Abstract: In response to receiving a request from a querying entity, such as a seller of goods or services, embodiments of a service engine present to a client computing device of the querying entity a set of queries about goods or services sold by the querying entity and other characteristics of the business of the querying entity. The service engine may intelligently determine which queries to present based on responses to preceding queries. The service engine may then compare the entries in response to the queries against stored rules for a one or more of a plurality of tax jurisdictions, the stored rules being about establishing nexus for purposes of remitting transaction tax in the certain tax jurisdiction. The service engine may then determine information regarding potential lack of tax compliance of the querying entity based on the comparison, and notify accordingly.
