A movable button member may be used to press the covering layer outwardly within an opening, thereby creating a portion of the covering layer that protrudes from other portions of the covering layer. The button member may also be placed in a position in which the covering layer on the button member is flush with other portions of the covering layer. A touch sensor may be incorporated into the covering layer and may overlap a display and areas outside the display.

The voltage at the output node is used to determining brightness of light received by the photoelectric conversion circuit and whether is a fluctuation in the in the brightness of the light.

The null data signals may cause nonuniformities in the displayed image. The null data signals may be adjusted to minimize the nonuniformities. Null data signals corresponding to the inactive notch region may be adjusted to have gray levels that gradually decrease with distance from the border between the inactive notch and the active area. All of the data signals corresponding to the inactive notch may be set to a uniform gray level.

In case each pressure sensitive touch structure is subject to a pressure, the pressure sensing unit determines the magnitude of pressure at the touch position by sensing a variation in the magnitude of voltage between the first touch electrode and the second touch electrode, thus realizing pressure touching. Since the pressure sensitive touch structures are embedded in the display panel, it is only required to make minor modification to the structural design of the display panel without being limited by the assembly tolerance. The detection accuracy is improved.
