Abstract: Flossers are designed to simplify flossing with braces including facilitating the insertion of floss into and the maneuvering of the floss within the embrasure spaces. The flossers can include an inner prong and an outer prong between which a length of floss extends. The outer prong can be configured to insert between the teeth and the wire of the braces while the inner prong is positioned inside the teeth. While positioned between the wire and the teeth, the outer prong can be maneuvered to thereby floss the embrasure spaces.

Abstract: Disclosed is a two-component mixing capsule for intake and for mixing of two compositions with a capsule housing having a discharge spout at its front end, wherein the mixing capsule comprises a first mixing chamber and a second mixing chamber, wherein the two mixing chambers may be separated from each other for storage or for transport, by the first mixing chamber being rotatable into a first position in which the first mixing chamber is separated from mixing chamber, by a rotatably mounted handhold element, the rotational axis of which is approximately perpendicularly arranged to the longitudinal axis of the mixing capsule. The two mixing chambers form a common mixing chamber by rotating the first mixing chamber into a second position in which the central axes of the first and second mixing chamber are substantially coaxially arranged, wherein the composition may be discharged after mixing by attaching a squeezing piston.

Abstract: A cosmetic container that grinds and dispenses a content is disclosed. The cosmetic container includes: an inner container having an interior space filled with a content; a dial that is rotatably coupled at an upper part of the inner container and includes a dispensing hole for dispensing the content and a cutter for grinding the content; a screw that is positioned at a lower part of the dial within the interior space and rotates together with the dial; a piston inserted around the screw to ascend and descend within the interior space; and an elastic member that is positioned at a lower part of the piston and pushes the piston upward. The piston is screw-joined with the screw to maintain a particular height, and rotating the dial disengages the screw joint between the piston and the screw to allow the piston to be moved upward by the elastic member.

Abstract: A dental assembly includes a prosthesis having a base and a plurality of artificial teeth, and at least one connecting element coupled to the prosthesis and configured to facilitate coupling of the dental assembly to a patient's oral cavity. The at least one connecting element includes a cylinder with a body having a first end, a second end, and a passageway extending between the first and second ends. The connecting element further includes an opening through a sidewall of the cylinder that is open to the passageway. The slot allows access to a fixation screw positioned in the cylinder from a direction that is angled relative to an axis of the cylinder. A method of making a dental assembly is also disclosed.

Abstract: In one embodiment, an oral irrigator including a reservoir, a tip fluidly connected to the reservoir, a motor having a drive shaft, and a pump. The pump includes a pump body including a pump inlet fluidly connected to the reservoir and a pump outlet fluidly connected to the tip, a spiral pinion gear including a plurality of pinion gear teeth that curve along their length, and a spiral driven gear including a plurality of driven gear teeth that mesh with the pinion gear teeth. The pump also may include a connecting rod eccentrically connected to the driven gear and a piston and received within the pump body. Movement of the drive shaft causes the pinion gear to rotate, causing the driven gear to rotate, translating the connecting rod and moving the piston laterally within the pump body to pull fluid from the reservoir and push the fluid to the tip.

Abstract: In one embodiment, an aspiration prevention system is configured to keep items from moving from a mouth of a patient into a throat of the patient. The system includes a mouth prop, a frame, and an air-permeable barrier. The mouth prop has a top surface configured to abut top teeth of the mouth, a bottom surface configured to abut bottom teeth of the mouth, and a frame coupling feature. The frame has a barrier retention feature configured to retain an air-permeable barrier, and a prop coupling feature that is attachable to the frame coupling feature of the mouth prop in a position in which the frame at least partially covers the throat.

Abstract: An adjustable hair tie where the band or cord can easily be adjusted to a variety of thicknesses of hair. The hair tie includes an elongated stretchable cord, a cleat, a plurality of apertures positioned along the length of the cleat, a first set of apertures forming a first passageway, and a second set of apertures forming a second passageway. The first end of the cord is securely attached at one end of the cleat, and the second end of the cord traverses through the second passageway. The free end of the cord is pulled under the application of force to crimp the cord and the cord loops around the cleat such that when the force is removed, the cord contracts, causing it to constrict, thereby securing the cord within the cleat and providing an easily adjustable sized cord loop to retain hair.

Abstract: A method of producing a positioning guide for an orthodontic bracket is provided. The method includes determining and fixing a position of the orthodontic bracket in relation to a side surface of a corresponding tooth of a setup dental model, wherein the setup dental model has a dentition state of the patient's dental arch after orthodontic treatment; forming a rigid guiding structure with a first part covering the outer surface of each orthodontic bracket and a second part covering the occlusal surface of the corresponding tooth; and forming a flexible linking structure to connect the first part and the second part of the rigid guiding structure to obtain the positioning guide for the respective orthodontic bracket, wherein the rigid guiding structure is inflexible and the flexible linking structure is elastic and retains form.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a wearable pack. A wearable pack according to the present disclosure includes a first sheet formed in an elliptical shape, and a second sheet coupled to the first sheet, the second sheet being formed in a shape corresponding to the first sheet and including an opening that is sealable. An inner space is formed between the first sheet and the second sheet to accommodate a pack agent therein.

Abstract: Devices for holding one or more flexible or elastic loops or bands, in particular hair ties, are disclosed herein. Such devices can include first and second portions having one or more protruding features around which one or more loops or bands can be secured in place. The first and second portions can be movably attached so as to move between an open position for placement of the one or more loops thereon, and a closed position to secure the one or more loops drawn taut or in a folded configuration. The device can be secured in the closed position with a fastener to maintain the one or more loops stored within for portable storage.

Abstract: Retainers hold a fiber bundle rotated through a length of the retainer via a gap in the retainer that can be widened by stretching the same and closed by release and further by rotating the fiber. The retainer may be single-piece parallelepiped, cylinder, prism, etc. bearing an outermost surface on which the bundle can wind and be supported. The retainer is fabricated of a resilient elastic like natural rubber or a synthetic rubber such as styrene-butadiene rubber. Methods pass the bundle through the gap and then wind it around the retainer before passing it back through the gap. The bundle may be inserted and/or wound for any length of the bundle and may include spacing in each turn so as to expose the underlying retainer through each turn. The bundle may be held in the wound position for any desired amount of time and then removed.

Abstract: There is provided a cosmetic container which is easy to manufacture with a simplified configuration and capable of performing discharging and blocking of powder in a reliable manner and preventing the powder from leaking out. The cosmetic container includes a container body in which the powder is accommodated, and a brush part coupled to an upper end of the container body and provided with an opening/closing part provided therein to selectively discharge the powder and a powder brush provided in an upper end of the brush part.

Abstract: The invention relates to an abutment for use in a dental implant system, wherein the abutment is provided with a guiding and lock for associating the abutment to a dental implant, the guiding and lock including: a first conically tapered section; a second substantially non-tapered section arranged apically adjacent to the first section, the second section being provided with an anti-rotational means; and a third substantially circular cylindrical section arranged apically adjacent to the second section, such that to provide axial guiding to the abutment upon the insertion thereof into a dental implant. Further, the invention relates to a dental implant formed in a similar manner.

Abstract: A hair styling apparatus includes a first member and a second member extending along a central longitudinal axis. The first member and the second member are configured for relative movement between an open position for receiving hair therebetween and an approximated position. The first member and second member each include an inner plate segment and an outer shell segment. The first member and the second member are each configured to impart a straightening effect on hair when clamped with the inner plate segment. A heating assembly is connected via the inner plate segment to the first member and the second member. At least one ion emitter is for generating ions upon activation of the hair styling apparatus.
