  • Patent number: 10895098
Abstract: A method and system for opening garage doors is disclosed. The invention being comprised of several parts: software for mobile devices, a vehicle-dedicated, Bluetooth™ enabled beacon and a wireless door controller unit. The aforementioned software transmitting a wireless open command to said garage door controller once said beacon is within a preset range determined by said mobile device's Global Positioning System (GPS). For example, in one embodiment users place a multitude of beacons in different vehicles. As one vehicle approaches a garage, a mobile device will decipher its location and interact with the door controller. Upon entering a preset boundary, the garage door associated with said vehicle will open. An object of the invention is to enhance garage door automation.

  • Patent number: 10878386
Abstract: An automatic dock servicing system can monitor status of dock stations and/or dock station components, analyze the status to determine whether it satisfies a service condition for one or more service actions and, when service conditions are satisfied, cause the corresponding service actions to be performed. In some embodiments, a control panel can track a number of trailer loading/unloading cycles at the dock station. When the number of cycles reaches a threshold for performing a service on the dock station, the control panel can automatically initiate the service action. Some service actions that can be initiated by placing a maintenance or part request, sending control signals to a control panel or to dock station components, and/or sending messages or providing remote controls to other personnel.

  • Patent number: 10872481
Abstract: Remote control for actuating garage doors and other barriers, and method and system of using same. A base unit includes: a wireless receiver, to wirelessly receive from an electronic device an incoming wireless signal indicating a command to actuate a garage door; a wireless signal constructor, to dynamically construct an outgoing wireless signal which comprises a rolling code; a wireless transmitter, to transmit the outgoing wireless signal to a wireless receiver of a motor unit that is operably associated with the garage door. A wireless signal constructor dynamically constructs the outgoing wireless signal without having access to a secret seed value that is accessible to the motor unit. A local storage unit stores a data-set of rolling codes that are associated with the motor unit; and the outgoing wireless signal is dynamically constructed based on a next-available rolling code obtained from the local storage unit of the base unit.

  • Patent number: 10861271
Abstract: Techniques for Check-In/Be-out (CiBo) and Be-in/Be-out (BiBo) using Mesh Networks are disclosed. In one implementation, an access control system includes a mesh network. The mesh network includes a set of mesh nodes disposed proximate to a gate to an access-controlled area and a master mesh node communicatively coupled to the set of mesh nodes. The master mesh node is configured to determine whether a device is near the gate based on a strength of a signal received at one of the set of the mesh nodes from the device. The system further includes a validator communicatively coupled to the master mesh node and a backend system. The validator is configured to: receive an indication from the master mesh node that the device is near the gate, determine, based on the indication, whether the device is authorized to enter or exit through the gate, and transmit a result of the determination of whether the device is authorized to enter or exit through the gate to the backend system.

  • Patent number: 10803688
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for receiving order information at a storage space, then generating single-use access information for opening the storage space to either deposit an item into, or retrieve an item from, the storage space. This single-use access information may be encoded into a token, then transmitted to a mobile device of the customer or courier. As the customer or courier crosses a geo-fence surrounding the storage space with the token, the mobile device transmits, to the storage space, a notification. This notification informs the storage space to transmit the single-use access instructions, allowing the courier or customer to deposit or remove a product as needed.
