  • Patent number: 9885593
Abstract: A method for verifying the reliability of ascertained measurement data of an ultrasonic, flow measurement made according to the travel-time difference method, wherein an ultrasonic flow measuring device having at least two ultrasonic transducers is used to transmit and receive ultrasonic signals inclined in or counter to a flow direction of a measured medium. A first ultrasound disturbance signal is registered within a first time window before receiving a first ultrasound wanted signal, and a second ultrasound disturbance signal is registered within a second time window before receiving a second ultrasound wanted signal. A quality criterion is ascertained for evaluating the measurement uncertainty of a measured value proportional to the travel-time difference ascertained from the first and second ultrasound wanted signals, wherein the ascertaining of the quality criterion includes a difference forming between the first and second disturbance signals.

  • Patent number: 9851337
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a water condition monitoring device and related methods of use that significantly reduce the cost of the water condition monitoring devices by replacing the expensive and bulky multiple sensor electrodes of currently available devices with a single set of two or three metal electrodes to detect and/or measure such water quality parameters as pH, electric conductivity, temperature, and dissolved oxygen content. A microcontroller activates each sensor one at a time in a continuous loop, processing the sensor signals into near real time water condition data, which may be stored, displayed, or sent to a remote location for storage or display.

  • Patent number: 9845719
Abstract: An O2 sensor has a sensor element, which includes a solid electrolyte layer and a pair of electrodes, while the solid electrolyte layer is interposed between the electrodes. The O2 sensor outputs an electromotive force signal in response to an air-to-fuel ratio of exhaust gas of an engine, which serves as a sensing subject. A constant current circuit, which induces a flow of a predetermined constant electric current between the pair of electrodes of a sensor element, and a current sensing arrangement, which senses a current value of an actual electric current that is conducted through the sensor element, are provided. A microcomputer determines whether an abnormality of the constant current circuit is present based on the current value of the electric current, which is sensed with the current sensing arrangement, in a case where the constant current is induced by the constant current circuit.

  • Patent number: 9833804
Abstract: A nozzle apparatus comprising: an inlet, an outlet, a filter disposed between the inlet and the outlet, and, a container; wherein the nozzle apparatus defines a first flow path for particles too large for said filter and a second flow path towards the outlet for particles small enough for said filter; and wherein the container is provided downstream of the first flow path. In this way the pressure on the container downstream of the first fluid path causes the debris to accumulate therein and the nozzle is less liable to blockages. The apparatus is of particular use as a sprinkler system.

  • Patent number: 9835574
Abstract: A gas measurement device measures gas using a gas sensor including a sense resistance exposed to the gas and a reference resistance not exposed to the gas. The gas measurement device applies a first current value and a second current value to the sensor. A detector functions to detect a first resistance variation and a second resistance variation of the sense resistance exposed to the gas with respect to the reference resistance as a function of the first current value and the second current value, respectively. The resistance variation dependent on relative humidity is then determined as a function of the first and second resistance variations and a first constant. The resistance variation dependent on gas content is then determined as a function of the first and second resistance variations and a second (different) constant.
