  • Patent number: 10902572
Abstract: A fluorescence imaging system is configured to generate a video image onto a display. The system includes a light source for emitting infrared light and white light, an infrared image sensor for capturing infrared image data, and a white light image sensor for capturing white light image data. Data processing hardware performs operations that include filtering the infrared image data with a first digital finite impulse response (FIR) filter configured to produce a magnitude response of zero at a horizontal Nyquist frequency and a vertical Nyquist frequency. The operations also include filtering the infrared image data with a second digital FIR filter configured with a phase response to spatially align the white light image data with the infrared image data. The operations also include combining the white light image data and the infrared image data into combined image data and transmitting the combined image data to the display.

Abstract: Various embodiments disclosed herein describe a divided-aperture infrared spectral imaging (DAISI) system that is adapted to acquire multiple IR images of a scene with a single-shot (also referred to as a snapshot). The plurality of acquired images having different wavelength compositions that are obtained generally simultaneously. The system includes at least two optical channels that are spatially and spectrally different from one another. Each of the at least two optical channels are configured to transfer IR radiation incident on the optical system towards an optical FPA unit comprising at least two detector arrays. One of the at least two detector arrays comprises a cooled mid-wavelength infra-red FPA. The system further comprises at least one temperature reference source or surface that is used to dynamically calibrate the two detector arrays and compensate for a temperature difference between the two detector arrays.

  • Patent number: 10891769
Abstract: One or more embodiments are described for generating a two dimensional map of an environment using a set of submaps that include point clouds of the environment that are captured using multiple scanner systems that move independently from one position to another in the environment. Each 2D scanner system steers a beam of light within a first plane to illuminate object points in the environment, and a controller determines a distance value to at least one of the object points. The 2D submaps of the environment are generated based on an activation signal from an operator and based at least in part on the distance value, each submap generated from a respective point in the environment and by a respective 2D scanner system. A central processor generates the 2D image of the environment using the 2D submaps.

  • Patent number: 10891839
Abstract: The present application is directed to creating intrusion zones for security systems. For example, a network device may store data associated with an intrusion zone for an audio/video (A/V) recording and communication device, the data indicating at least a conditional setting associated with the intrusion zone and at least one action that a security system is to perform based on the A/V recording and communication device detecting motion within the intrusion zone and the conditional setting being satisfied. The network device may then receive motion data from the A/V recording and communication device, the motion data indicating that the A/V recording and communication device detected the motion within the intrusion zone. Based on receiving the motion data, the network device may determine that the conditional setting for the intrusion zone is satisfied and determine that the conditional setting for the intrusion zone is satisfied.

  • Patent number: 10882398
Abstract: Embodiments are directed towards providing a system that presents customized content to a user of an automobile based on what the user of the automobile is looking at. A first camera captures images of the user of the interior of the automobile, and a second camera captures images of a scene that the user is viewing. The images are analyzed to determine if the user is looking at, or not looking at, an object in the scene. If the user is looking at such an object, content associated with the object is selected and presented to the user.

  • Patent number: 10873778
Abstract: Systems, devices and processes reduce the amount of memory or disk space needed to store encoded video content used in adaptive video streaming by eliminating certain portions of the recorded program from one or more copies of the encoded program. Content occurring before or after a scheduled start of a program, for example, can be retained in only a subset of the encoded copies so that the program content is available to be streamed, but only at certain video qualities. Commercials or other less popular portions may also be eliminated in one or more encoded copies. By eliminating the less-likely-to-be-viewed portions of the content from some (but not all) of the encoded copies, the total amount of storage space needed to store the encoded program is reduced without compromising the ability to play back all portions of the recorded program.

  • Patent number: 10820056
Abstract: The systems and methods are described herein for playback of content based on progress point information. The systems and methods detect nearby media devices to transmit or request progress point information. Based on the communicated progress point information, the system may generate an option to play back content at a point within the content up to which content was last consumed. When content providers offer different versions of one content item and the user does not select to play back content from the content provider associated with the progress point information, the system determines a proper playback point in other content providers.

  • Patent number: 10778938
Abstract: In some embodiments, a method receives sub-bitstreams from a multi-pass transcoding process of a video. A target quality is received based on a characteristic of transcoding of the video. Then, the method generates a combination of sub-bitstream chunks from the sub-bitstreams for the video. A set of exchange rates is calculated where each exchange rate defines how much bitrate will be reduced in relation to quality if an anchor sub-bitstream chunk from the combination of sub-bitstream chunks is replaced with another sub-bitstream chunk from other sub-bitstreams. Then method iteratively exchanges one of the anchor sub-bitstream chunks in the combination of sub-bitstream chunks with another sub-bitstream chunk based on the exchange rate of the anchor sub-bitstream chunk in the combination of sub-bitstream chunks until the quality measurement of the combination meets the target quality. Then, the combination of sub-bitstream chunks is recorded as a transcoded bitstream.
