Abstract: A system for employing machine learning to generate customized notifications for a user is provided. The system may identify a landmark in proximity to a user's mobile device and may obtain information associated with products or services offered by the landmark. While the mobile device is within a predetermined distance of the landmark, a machine learning model may be employed to generate a customized notification, such as an offer—e.g., a discount or a special financing offer for one of the identified products—generated specifically for use by the user based on the user's spending and/or financing history. The customized notification may be transmitted to the mobile device with a security key for accessing the offer. In response to receiving an indication that the security key was selected and the product purchased, the user may be authenticated and the offer may be applied to an account associated with the user.

Abstract: Embodiments are directed towards employing multiple profiles to track identification of users across multiple domains. Multiple application-domain profiles and multiple web-domain profiles may each include a statistical identifier. A profile enrichment store may be generated from the application-domain profiles and web-domain profiles, where each entry in the profile enrichment store may be based on statistical identifiers. The profile enrichment store may be utilized to determine categories associated with a statistical identifier for a request from a client device. A targeted advertisement may be determined based on the determined category and may be provided to the client device. A client caching identifier may be used in a mobile web domain, in combination with the statistical identifier, to track mobile web users. If a request is associated with a profile that includes an affirmative opt-out flag, categories in the profile enrichment store for a corresponding statistical identifier may be cleaned up.

Abstract: A collateral generation system generates and sends physical direct mail to one or more users on behalf of an entity with which the users have interacted. The collateral generation system can send physical direct mail to prospects, who may not have a prior relationship with the entity. In general, prospects would not normally be sent mailings because the entity lacks some primary information about the entity, such as an address or sufficient identifying information to obtain an address of the entity. The collateral generation system identifies prospects based on activity online and obtains mailing addresses of the prospects from an identification service while retaining user anonymity of those prospects. The collateral generation system generates collateral, which may be personalized for a defined block group of prospects (e.g., individuals or organizations), and the collateral is sent as physical mail to the prospects on behalf of the entity.

The online concierge system uses models to estimate orders likely to be received at different times and shoppers likely to be available to fulfill orders at different times. Responsive to greater than a threshold difference between estimated orders and estimated shoppers during a time interval, the online concierge system selects one or more incentives for shoppers to select orders during the time interval to entice shoppers to select orders during the time interval. An interface displayed to the shoppers by the online concierge system may present a map of warehouses and their estimated number of orders and allow shoppers to identify incentives offered for fulfilling orders at different warehouses during the time interval.
