  • Patent number: 4898336
Abstract: A driven winding core member is elevationally displaceable and a supply spool member serves for the delivery or reception, as the case may be, of a winding band which can be wound-up with the flat structures or can be unwound in conjunction with the flat structures. A conveyor device serves for the infeed or outfeed of the flat structures which are to be respectively wound-up on or wound-off from the winding core member. Between the conveyor device and the winding core member, there is provided a conveyor band arrangement which either infeeds the flat structures and the winding band or outfeeds such flat sturctures and the winding band. To reduce the space requirements of the apparatus and to simplify driving thereof and still afford a faultless winding-up and winding-off or unwinding operation, the conveyor band arrangement is designed as a freely revolving structure and, under resilient or spring action, partially wraps about the winding core member or, as the case may be, the package located thereupon.

  • Patent number: 4896495
Abstract: A twisting machine for use in simultaneously imparting a twist to two or more wires while coiling the twisted wires on a drum, or for imparting twist to one or more wires as they are fed from off the drum, is provided with a reel support frame, preferably having retractable pintles, by which a reel is secured in the machine. The frame has a first reeling location within the machine positioned within a circumscribing orbital wire path provided by a wire guide that rotates about the frame and reel so as to twist the wires as they are reeled. The frame is displaceable from a first in-board position within the orbit of the wire guide to a second, reel transfer position, while at standstill, in which the reel is deposited outboard beside the machine while still supported by the frame pintles or a shaft. An interlock system controls the locking, unlocking and displacement of the frame, to ensure absolute safety.

A passageway for recording sheets is formed between the first and second units and can be opened and closed by rotating the second unit with respect to the first unit. Another passageway for an original document is formed between the second and third units and can be opened and closed by rotating the third unit with respect to the second unit. With the device thus structured, a jammed original as well as a jammed recording sheet can be removed quickly from the device.

  • Patent number: 4890451
Abstract: The yarn to be loosened is guided by slots (7;8); it is held on one side thereof and it is cut on the other side. Air is injected by a nozzle (13) for driving the cut end of the yarn into a channel (1), between the bottom (11) of this channel and the longitudinal edge of the adjacent flexible leaf (10) which is vibrated simultaneously at several hundreds of Hz. The air can escape sidewise through a longitudinal opening (4) of channel (1) and entrains the yarn from one side to the other side of the leaf (10) and imparts to this yarn alternatively inverted twists. A further action of the leaf (10) is to pulse the air in the channel and therefore to subject the yarn to intermittently applied pulls.
