Abstract: The present invention discloses a folding knife that can be unfolded quickly, and its technology mainly resides on installing an elastic bar in a handle of the knife, and such elastic bar matches exactly with a groove hole on the blade body, so that during the process of rotating the blade body, the blade body can be rotated out from an open slot on one side of the handle quickly by the joint mechanism of the elastic bar and the groove hole.
Abstract: A reciprocating shaft assembly in a reciprocating saw moves in a reciprocal motion and drives a saw blade via a blade holder. At least one bore is formed in an end of the reciprocating shaft assembly opposite the blade holder. A pin fixed to the saw passes through the bore and acts as a bearing to support the reciprocating shaft assembly in its reciprocating motion.

Abstract: A combined clamping and cutting tool for manually cutting plastic pipes. The cutting portion includes a pair of elongated members pivotally mounted to each other with each elongated member having a handle section and a cutting section. Cutting wheels are rotatably mounted to each cutting section. The clamping portion includes at least three members with the first and second members pivotally mounted to each other and the second and third members pivotally mounted to each other. The first and second clamping sections respectively have a pair of spaced-apart, parallel legs that firmly and slidably receive the cutting sections of the cutting portion therebetween. Interlocking tracks are also provided to maintain the clamping and cutting portions together during use and to provide an interaction between the two portions to aid in opening them to receive the pipe.
Abstract: A handsaw capable of cutting a glass bottle includes a band-like handsaw substrate which is obtained by cutting a steel strip at a predetermined length, a blade portion of hard abrasive applied, by deposition, to at least one edge of the band-like handsaw substrate in the width direction, and a grip portion which allows the band-like handsaw substrate to be manually held. A method for manufacturing a handsaw capable of cutting a glass bottle, and a method for reusing empty wine bottles are also disclosed.
Abstract: A utility knife includes a handle having a first casing and a second casing, a blade holder slidably received in the handle, a blade mounted on the blade holder, means for driving the blade holder moving, and a lock device pivoted on the first casing of the handle to be turned between an unlock position and a lock position. The lock device is fastened on the first casing having a base member positioned at an exterior side of the first casing and a rotatable member positioned at an interior side thereof The rotatable member has two ribs projected radially to pass through a through hole with two gaps on first casing. Such that the first casing and second casing can be assembled and disassembled by turning the lock device.
Abstract: The utility knife of the present invention has a cutting blade that is extended to any desired length from the knife handle by providing a blade assembly and a blade deployment device supported in an internal cavity within a knife handle. In particular, the blade can be extended any desired distance from the front face of the handle between the full deployed position and the fully retracted position. No additional structure or locking devices are generally required to retain and hold the blade in a predetermined position from a handle opening when it has been deployed by the blade deployment device. Optional aspects of the invention include a blade position arm and indices, a locking collar and an elongated handle that may be made to articulate.
Abstract: A fruit slicer includes an X-hinged device including two handles pivoted by a pivot that separates the X-hinged device into an upper portion and a lower portion, an arcuate resilient plate having two ends fixed to the upper portion of the X-hinged device, and a plurality of blades each having a first end fixed to the arcuate resilient plate and a second end fixed in a recessed portion of the X-hinged device. A respective pair of the blades has a gap therebetween. An elastic element is mounted between the handles for biasing the handles away from each other. The arcuate resilient plate is deformed when the handles are pressed toward each other, thereby reducing the gap. The arcuate resilient plate restores its shape when the handles are released.
Abstract: A razor cartridge is provided that includes a seat, a cap, one or more razor blades, and a relief centrally located in an aft face of the cap. The relief enables the user to get the cutting edges of the one or more razor blades in closer proximity to a feature (e.g., a nose) than is possible using currently available razor cartridges. In a preferred embodiment of the cartridge, a shaving aid strip is disposed in the contact face, positioned aft of the forward face of the cap and forward of the relief. The shaving aid strip preferably reflects the contour of the aft face of the cartridge that includes the relief.
Abstract: An electric shaver having a cutter head that includes a movable cutter unit. With a single switching operation of a mode-switching dial that switches the operating mode of the shaver and is installed on the shaver main body, the movable cutter unit is moved upward or downward from a normal position, and the angle of inclination of the cutter head with respect to the shaver main body 1 is varied as well.
Abstract: A handheld oyster and clam opener includes a pair of cooperating pivotal members. One member includes a handle and a curved toothed portion to hold a clam or oyster in position at one end. The opposing member includes a handle and a knife-like wedge along which a protruding wedge is slidable. The protruding wedge is used to open oysters and is moved to one end to open clams with the knife-like wedge both operations requiring a single stroke. A scoop mounted to the toothed portion is used to remove the clam or oyster from the shell.
Abstract: A knife has a blade-carrying blade slide and a separate actuator slide, both urged by springs into rear positions. A transversely displaceable coupling member on one of the slides is engageable with the other of the slides for coupling the blade slide with the actuator slide for movement of the blade slide from its retracted position into its intermediate position on displacement of the actuator slide from its rear end position into its front end position and for decoupling the slides from each other and shifting transversely out of a path of the other slide on movement of the blade slide from its intermediate position into its extended position. Cam formations on the slides displace the blade slide into the extended position on exertion of a transverse force against the blade edge in the intermediate position of the blade.
Abstract: A saw blade for a reciprocating saw apparatus having first and second longitudinal edges and first and second opposite ends. The saw blade is provided at its first end with an attachment element for attaching the blade to a power unit. The first and second longitudinal edges of the blade are toothed, the teeth of the first and second longitudinal edges being raked towards the first end of the saw blade. The second end of the blade is toothed and is rounded.
Abstract: A fixed blade knife or bayonet having integral blade and tang portions and a handle having a cavity extending therethrough from distal to proximal ends. A slot is formed in the tang, extending from an open end at the terminal end of the tang to a closed end, with a narrower slot portion extending from the open end and adjoining a wider portion which extends to the closed end of the slot. A nut having a threaded bore is formed with a first cross dimension slightly smaller than the width of the wider slot portion and a second cross dimension, larger than and perpendicular to the first cross dimension. The nut is inserted laterally into the wider slot portion and the tang, with the nut carried therein, is inserted into the handle cavity, which has a cross sectional outline corresponding to that of the combined tang and nut. A screw is inserted into the bore which forms a portion of the cavity extending into the proximal end of the handle.
Abstract: The spool impeller is a fully automatic cutting head for whirling filament vegetation trimmers, simpler, less expensive, and more reliable than the predecessors. Unlike the predecessors, the spool impeller does not waste filament. It consists of a single part, a small diameter spool attached to the drive shaft. The free end of filament coiled on the spool extends tangentially so that the tip traces a circle about the axis of rotation. In use, the coiled filament gradually unwinds to compensate for filament wear, maintaining a cutting swath of precisely constant size. There is no need for the operator to monitor the filament. Feeding new filament is controlled by the aerodynamic drag and centrifugal force acting directly on the extended filament. If the length of the extended filament is correct, drag and centrifugal force balance, and no unwinding or rewinding occurs. Too long, drag dominates over centrifugal force, rewinding the extended filament onto the spool just enough to restore the proper length.

Abstract: A quick disassembly hacksaw includes an inverse U-shaped frame having a flexible triangular front handle on fore end, a rear handle on rear end, a front tube and a rear tube respectively disposed under the fore end and rear end, an adjusting mechanism disposed in the front tube, a positioning rod inserted into the rear tube each of which has a polyhedron for connecting a saw blade and a fastening mechanism comprised of a link and a U-shaped leverage latch pivoted to the positioning rod and a lug under the rear handle and locked by a safety detent on a top of the rear handle. The saw blade is fastened by the fastening mechanism and the tensions thereof is adjusted by the adjusting mechanism.
Abstract: A hydraulic punch driver which includes a hydraulic pump section a hydraulic ram section, and a hydraulic hose which connects these two sections together. Because the hydraulic hose is flexible, the operator is able to manipulate the ram section such that it can be positioned at an angle relative to the pump section; a hose guard can be provided on the hose to protect the hose and to prevent overflexing of the hose. Such flexibleness allows the operator to use the punch driver in virtually any position such that the ram can operate as necessary and the operator can operate the pump handle, regardless of the environmental conditions of the place of use. The pump section also includes a coupler which allows a handle thereof to swivel 360 degrees to further allow the operator to grip and actuate the pump handle with maximum comfort.
Abstract: A pair of pruning shears includes a first handle, a blade seat, a blade, a second handle, a connecting member, and a spring. Thus, the spring mounted between the first handle and the second handle is disposed at an oblique state, thereby decreasing the pressing force applied on the user's hand, so that the user can hold the grip of the first handle and the second handle smoothly and comfortably, thereby facilitating the user operating the pruning shears.

The cartridge (2) comprises a reservoir (25) for holding an auxiliary fluid. This auxiliary fluid may, for example, serve to reduce the friction between the shaving head (3) and the skin of a user.
