  • Patent number: 4779499
Abstract: An apparatus is provided for stacking sliced products from a slicing machine of the type in which a loaf is fed into a cutting blade to be cyclically sliced. The apparatus comprises a first stack receiver and a second stack receiver each comprising a pair of receiving plates and operable between a closed position where the receiving plates are adjacent each other for accumulating the slices and an open position where the receiving plates are spaced from each other for discharging the slices. The stack receivers are moved in the vertical direction such that one of them is in the raised position when the other of them is in the lowered position. The stack receivers are closed at the raised position and opened at the lowered position. The slices can be discharged from the stack receiver with maintaining an aligned condition.

  • Patent number: 4779504
Abstract: A device for effecting continuous annular fancy cuts such as serrations around melons and the like comprises an elongated substantially linear base and support member having a trough-like cross section. A flat central portion of the base and support member carries an elongated upstanding generally linear cutter which extends longitudinally atop the member and which is adapted at an upper edge to sever the skin of melons and the like. The shape of the cutter when viewed from above in one embodiment is a conventional saw-tooth and the saw tooth cut or serration is provided continuously around a melon midsection by rolling the same along the length of the cutter. Side portions of the trough-like base and support member are oppositely inclined at approximately thirty degrees (30) to urge the melon toward a linear or straight line revolution along and atop the cutter.

  • Patent number: 4779897
Abstract: An apparatus (24) for the simultaneous production of all the sheet layers, including pocket dividers, for blocks, as well as for the complete production of said blocks has a manufacturing or production means (25) for the pocket dividers folded along a fold line and glued along a line at angles thereto, in which the pocket dividers are simultaneously cohesively produced in multi-unit size form over the working width in the same way as the remaining sheet layers of the block, then the remaining multi-unit size partial layers of the block are supplied and finally are cut commonly into the individual units. This leads to a fully automatic production of blocks comprising pocket dividers without any intermediate storage of the pocket dividers and as each of the pocket dividers can be produced with only one single back layer, a considerable material saving is achieved.

  • Patent number: 4776741
Abstract: A stacking device for rigid elongated goods, such as metal bars, pipes, sectional materials, and the like, comprises a stacking section, in which at least one set of rollers for conveying the goods are provided. The rollers are arranged to extend with their axes horizontally and transversely underneath the goods for supporting and conveying the same and are adapted to be driven for linear movement selectively in and opposite to the conveying direction direction of the goods by means of linear drive chains, such that all the rollers may be removed from the stacking section in order to transfer the goods onto supports arranged at the stacking section under said rollers and adapted to be raised and lowered to take over the goods into a transportation frame. Moreover, the rollers may be driven by a rotation drive chain, while the linear drive chains stand still such that in a conveying mode the roller axes are kept at rest and the rollers are rotated about their axes to convey the goods.

  • Patent number: 4776250
Abstract: A square for glass cutting has a triangular shaped phenolic plastic body having a head supporting base member, a straight edge, and a straight edge strengthening member. The base member has a plurality of apertures having diameters of a first dimension. A head member includes first and second head plates interconnected and spaced by a bridge to sandwich the base member. The first and second plates have a plurality of apertures having centers corresponding to the centers of the base member apertures, but having diameters of a second dimension less than the first dimension but equal to the diameters of set screws, whereby when the head member is loosely attached to the head support member by the set screws the squaring of the first head plate automatically squares the second head plate and the tightening of the set screws maintains the squared relationship between the head plates and the straight edge member.
