    Abstract: A method for producing a secondary battery includes a space formation step and an injection molding step. In the space formation step, an outer periphery of a resin blocking portion with a quadrangular prism shape, in a terminal, is plugged to form a resin injection space around the terminal. In the injection molding step, a resin is injected into the injection space. The space formation step includes a constant-dimension pressing step and a constant-pressure pressing step. In the constant-dimension pressing step, a section between a pair of first outer peripheral surfaces of the resin blocking portion, extending parallelly to each other is pressed, whereby a distance between the first outer peripheral surfaces is brought to a predetermined distance. In the constant-pressure pressing step, a section between a pair of second outer peripheral surfaces of the resin blocking portion, extending in a direction intersecting the first outer peripheral surfaces, is pressed.

In an embodiment, a method for fabricating a rubber-based elastomeric glove includes milling diene rubber to form first and second milled diene rubber portions; forming a first mixture by mixing a silica reinforcing component and a first antiozonant wax with the first milled diene rubber portion; forming a second mixture by mixing a second antiozonant wax with the second milled diene rubber portion; mixing the first mixture, the second mixture, and a solvent to form a viscous solution; and dipping a glove mold into the viscous solution for a selected number of dips, and evaporating the solvent from the glove mold between dips to form the rubber-based elastomeric glove, wherein the elastomeric glove has a thickness of at least about 30 mils, and wherein the elastomeric glove exhibits a flexural modulus of less than about 0.06 MPa.

    Abstract: A Magnetic Gear Modulator (MGM) of a Concentric Magnetic Gear (CMG) is manufactured by injection molding a modulator cage over angularly spaced apart MGM pole pieces made of a magnetically conducting material. The pole pieces are initially connected by a support ring, or held by a fixture. The modulator cage is preferably a thermally conductive strengthening fiber filled plastic, a carbon fiber plastic, a carbon fiber filled plastic material, a glass material, or a high performance composite plastic molding material. After molding, the outer and/or inner portions of the molding material, and support ring if present, are machined away preferably exposing both inner and outer faces of the pole pieces embedded in the modulator cage. An MGM made using injection molding over a connected support ring and pole pieces reduces cost, and a carbon fiber plastic modulator cage increases strength.
