Abstract: An image processing apparatus that enables easy setting of metadata of image data. The image processing apparatus obtains image data associated with a selected work. A key candidate is identified from t image data based on one or more key types defined according to the selected work. A value candidate corresponding to the identified key candidate is identified based on a value type rule and a value search area rule which are defined for each of the one or more key types, and the identified value candidate is set as the metadata of the image data.

  • Patent number: 11672469
Abstract: Kits, diagnostic systems and methods are provided, which measure the distribution of colors of skin features by comparison to calibrated colors which are co-imaged with the skin feature. The colors on the calibration template (calibrator) are selected to represent the expected range of feature colors under various illumination and capturing conditions. The calibrator may also comprise features with different forms and size for calibrating geometric parameters of the skin features in the captured images. Measurements may be enhanced by monitoring over time changes in the distribution of colors, by measuring two and three dimensional geometrical parameters of the skin feature and by associating the data with medical diagnostic parameters. Thus, simple means for skin diagnosis and monitoring are provided which simplify and improve current dermatologic diagnostic procedures.

  • Patent number: 11594076
Abstract: A biometric capture device is operative to adjust one or more environmental parameters to enhance a range (e.g., distance) at which a biometric may be captured from a subject. For example, a sample biometric capture device may be, include, or otherwise incorporate a retinal or iris scanner configured to capture an image of the retina or iris (e.g., a biometric) when the retina or iris is illuminated by infrared light. Generally, the amount of infrared light required to accurately image the retina or iris increases with the distance of the subject's retina or iris from the image capture device. The biometric capture device may capture a facial image using a first image sensor, identify a face in the facial image, capture an iris image using a second image sensor guided by the facial image, and identify a person using the iris image.
