Abstract: A water-based treatment agent for tissue paper suppresses any feeling of slipperiness or wetness in ordinary tissue paper and toilet paper so the paper has a dry touch, ample smoothness, and a clean, smooth, tactile impression. It also provides the paper with a superior softness. The water-based treatment agent consists of a silicone oil emulsion in which crosslinked silicone particles with a mean particle size of 0.01-100 &mgr;m are contained in silicone oil droplets with a mean particle size of 0.05-500 &mgr;m, which are dispersed in water. The particle size of the crosslinked silicone particles is smaller than the particle size of the silicone oil droplets.
Abstract: This invention relates to paperboard materials for carrying static cling vinyl products for transport to end users. Such structures of this type, generally, provide good adhesion for the static cling vinyl product, but allow the vinyl product to be peeled off easily.

Abstract: A combustion chamber component for an internal combustion engine has a water and oil repellent coating which has good adhesive power and in which the effect of suppressing the accumulation of deposits is well maintained. The coating is formed from an organosilicon compound represented by the formula Rf—R1—Si(NH)3/2 wherein Rf denotes a perfluoroalkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms and R1 denotes a divalent hydrocarbon group having 2 to 10 carbon atoms.
Abstract: The present invention provides optical parts having good impact resistance, good adhesiveness between the substrate and a thin film layer coating formed thereon, good scratch resistance and good antireflection capabilities. The thin film layer coating composition comprises (1) a dithian ring containing sulfur compound and/or a benzene ring containing sulfur compound, and (2) a polyfunctional thiol compound.
Abstract: Disclosed are a multilayer structure produced through co-extrusion of a multilayer melt that comprises a layer of an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (EtOH) resin composition containing from 100 to 5000 ppm, in terms of boric acid (H3BO3), of a boron compound, from 100 to 1000 ppm, in terms of the free acid, of a carboxylic acid and/or its salt, and from 50 to 300 ppm, in terms of the metal, of an alkali metal salt, and having an ethylene content of from 25 to 45 mol % and a degree of sanctification of at least 99%, and a layer of a carboxylic acid-modified polyolefin resin adjacent thereto; and a multilayer structure produced through co-extrusion of a multilayer melt that comprises a layer of an EVOH resin composition containing from 10 to 50 ppm, in terms of the metal, of a salt of a metal of Group 2 of the Periodic Table, and having an ethylene content of from 25 to 45 mol % and a degree of saponification of at least 99%, and a layer of a carboxylic acid-modified polyolefin resin adjacent thereto; processs
