Abstract: Techniques are described for replacing a keypad of an existing security system within a property with a communication-enabled keypad device with dual functioning capabilities as a communicator device and a keypad device. In some implementations, data is received from a security panel of a property. A keypad bus protocol of the security panel is determined based on the data received from the security panel. Sensor data is received from one or more sensors located within the property. A monitoring system command that is not specified within a keypad bus of the security panel is determined based on based on the obtained sensor data. The monitoring system command is converted to a panel command using the keypad bus protocol. The panel command is transmitted on the keypad bus of the security panel.

  • Patent number: 11227174
Abstract: A license plate recognition process is described that includes automated image analysis integrated with human review and a definition of a plate grammar of license plate visual elements that are required to prepare a database search index that enables selection of a particular license plate, from a known population of all possible license plates issued for each and every jurisdiction of interest. The plate grammar includes visual elements that may be searched by both automated image analysis and by a human reviewer. The process includes creation of a question that guides a human reviewer into providing required information regarding a selected plate grammar element that is not identified by computerized image analysis. Integration of a manual review process within an automated process as opposed to manual review solely at a failed completion of the automated process is included.

  • Patent number: 11227387
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer readable media to detect and model a brain tumor in an electronic image and to predict features of the brain tumor based on the model. The method can include classifying one or more magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) images of a brain into one or more of one or more tumorous images containing an image of a tumor or one or more non-tumorous images, wherein the classification is performed using a deep learning CNN system. The method can also include segmenting a tumor region from one of the one or more tumorous images. The segmenting can include a neighboring Fuzzy C-Means (FCM) process. The method can further include classifying the segmented tumor region into one of four classes of brain tumor types. The segmented tumor region is classified as a particular brain tumor type using the deep learning CNN system. The method can also include reconstructing a 3D model of the tumor region and measuring one or more of a location of the tumor, a shape of the tumor, or a volume of the tumor.

  • Patent number: 11217089
Abstract: When a vehicle passes through a predetermined spot, a vehicle control device sends a transmission signal including a vehicle number counter set to an initial value in a rearward direction of the vehicle. When the transmission signal is received through the inter-vehicle communication module from a vehicle that leads the own vehicle, the vehicle control device sets the vehicle number counter included in the transmission signal, to an updated value resulting from increasing the vehicle number counter by a predetermined value, and sends a transmission signal including the vehicle number counter set to the updated value in the rearward direction of the vehicle. The vehicle control device sends the vehicle number counter set to the initial value or the updated value, to a center server, if it is determined that there is no vehicle that follows the own vehicle at a relatively short inter-vehicle distance.

  • Patent number: 11210952
Abstract: An edge device may receive, from a first device in a first vehicle moving towards an intersection, first-vehicle-provided-tracking information and, from a first sensor device at the intersection, sensor-provided-first-vehicle-tracking information. The edge device may receive, from a second device in a second vehicle moving towards the intersection, second-vehicle-provided-tracking information and, from a second sensor device at the intersection, sensor-provided-second-vehicle-tracking information. The edge device may determine whether vehicle-provided-tracking information matches the sensor-provided-tracking information for the first vehicle and/or the second vehicle. The edge device may determine whether the first vehicle and the second vehicle are predicted to collide and may provide, to one or more traffic control devices, one or more instructions to provide signals to the first vehicle and/or the second vehicle.

  • Patent number: 11204936
Abstract: A system for processing reading records collected from a resource distribution network and converting IEC reading type codes is provided. For example, a meter data management system obtains meter reading records that are collected from meter nodes deployed in a resource distribution network. Each of the meter nodes is configured to measure characteristics of resource consumption at a location associated with the meter node, and each of the meter reading records includes a reading value of the resource consumption and an IEC reading type code identifying a type of the reading value. The meter data management system processes the meter reading records by converting a reading record from its original IEC reading type code to a common IEC reading type code so that the multiple meter reading records can be aggregated to generate a load profile. Loads associated with the meter nodes can be adjusted based on the generated load file.
