Abstract: A tool holding apparatus for interfacing a machine spindle receiver of a milling machine, which includes a holder nose connected to a holder body configured with a first divided section integrally connecting to a second divided section and a centralized axial bore for housing therewithin a tension bolt, a lock nut, and a thrust nut. The holder nose includes an axial bore incorporating a reverse-tapered configuration and three flat sectors to correspond with an equally configured shaft portion of a tool, whereupon the threaded attachment of the thrust nut to the holder nose furthers a locking arrangement of the tool within the axial bore to prevent inadvertent axial and rotational movement thereof during aggressive milling operations.
Abstract: A sliding sleeve or collar which is cylindrical and has an elongated guide or channel fluidly connecting the outer annular wall with the inner annular wall of the sleeve is disclosed. A connector having at least one open end and an elongated slot with a floor and a pin guide through the floor is further disclosed. The pin guide is open to the inside of the connector. Between the sleeve and the slot is a pin having a pin head visible through the elongated guide and two opposing spring arms of a size and shape to fit in said slot, and a pin body which movable fits inside pin guide.
Abstract: A clamping apparatus with a control mechanism includes a cam, a cam post, a handle, and a handle plate. The cam is configured to rotate into a clamped position in which the clamping apparatus is in a clamped state and an unclamped position in which the clamping apparatus is in an unclamped state. The cam post is rotatable with the cam. The handle is movable into a first position and a second position. The handle plate is rotatable with the handle. The handle plate is configured to rotate the cam post in a first direction when the handle moves from the first position to the second position. The handle plate is configured to rotate in a second direction without rotating the cam post in the second direction for a predetermined distance when the handle moves from the second position to the first position. The first direction is opposite to the second direction.

Abstract: A drill press includes a main housing, a drill unit supported by the main housing for relative movement therewith, and a magnetic base for coupling the drill press to a ferromagnetic workpiece. The magnetic base includes a ferromagnetic body having spaced, substantially parallel first and second rails. Each of the first and second rails includes a flat bottom surface engageable with the ferromagnetic workpiece. A coil is positioned between the first and second rails for generating a holding force on the ferromagnetic workpiece. The coil defines a central axis that is parallel with the bottom surface of each of the first and second rails.
Abstract: A method of machining a workpiece is provided that is capable of forming a fresh air inlet in an arbitrary position in an outer shell of a container. According to the present invention, a method of machining a workpiece is provided that includes: machining to form a round hole in a workpiece using a boring drill having a tubular end portion, the end portion provided with a flat surface and a notch, and having a blade on a side of the notch, by pressing the flat surface against the workpiece while rotating the drill to contact the blade with the workpiece.
Abstract: An accessory for use with an oscillating power tool includes an attachment plate and a raised annular rim extending from the attachment plate. The raised annular rim has a central recess and a keyed sidewall with a star shape configured to be engaged by a first mating geometry of an oscillating power tool. The raised annular rim may further include a receiving portion formed thereon configured to be engaged by a second mating geometry of an oscillating power tool.

For example, a tool holder assembly described herein comprises a drawbar having an outer diameter surface and an inner diameter surface defining an interior of the drawbar. The drawbar is movable or actuatable along a longitudinal axis between a locked position and an unlocked position. The tool holder assembly can further comprise a first spring-like member positioned around the outer diameter surface of the drawbar and a second spring-like member positioned in the drawbar interior.

Abstract: A power chuck includes a housing in which there is arranged a drive unit having a traction guide means moveable in the direction of a clamping axis. There are arranged two pairs of mutually diametrically opposite base jaws. The improved automobile hub lathe fixture can save the manpower and materials and further improve the production efficiency.
