  • Patent number: 11551203
Abstract: A method of providing access to securely held data is provided. A user interacts with the service provider to obtain access to a service by using a device to provide a digital identifier to the service provider, without the digital identifier being made known to the user. At a later date the user wishes to retrieve securely stored data relating to their use of the service. However, because the user does not know the digital identifier, they are unable to identify themselves to the service provider using the digital identifier. The present disclosure provides a secure method for exchanging private identifiers, which allows the user to identify themselves to the service provider in order to gain access to securely stored data relating to the user's previous use of the service. The user can do this using the device on which the digital identifier is stored, or another device.

  • Patent number: 11501272
Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure enable a transaction to be preauthorized. A system receives a request for preauthorization of a transaction including a transaction amount and a cardholder identifier, identifies a cardholder account based on the cardholder identifier, determines a transaction timeframe and a machine identifier, and accesses the cardholder account to determine whether to process the transaction in accordance with a nonvisual communication program. On condition that the transaction is to be processed in accordance with the nonvisual communication program, the system generates an instruction to identify a capture time, determine whether the capture time satisfies the transaction timeframe, and dispense the transaction amount of cash in accordance with the nonvisual communication program on condition that the capture time satisfies the transaction timeframe. Aspects of the disclosure provide for preauthorizing the transaction in a secure and user-friendly manner.

  • Patent number: 11494845
Abstract: A predictive insurance underwriting system. An electronic life insurance policy application processing apparatus accepts data describing a consumer. An underwriting desktop processing apparatus receives the data. An underwriting rules processing apparatus determines, based on the data describing the consumer, whether the consumer is eligible for expedited underwriting of a life insurance policy covering the consumer. If it is determined that the consumer is eligible for expedited underwriting, a tele-interview processing apparatus collects first additional data relating to the consumer during a telephonic interview and, in response to a request from a processing unit, one or more third party databases transmit second additional data relating to the consumer.

  • Patent number: 11436680
Abstract: In an illustrative embodiment, systems and methods for calculating risk scores for locations potentially affected by catastrophic events include receiving a risk score request for a location, the risk score request including a request for assessment of risk exposure related to a type of catastrophic event. Based on the type of catastrophic event, a data compression algorithm may be applied to a catastrophic risk model representing amounts of perceived risk to an area surrounding the location. In response to receiving the risk score request, a risk score for the location may be calculated that corresponds to a weighted estimation of one or more data points in a compressed catastrophic risk model. A risk score user interface screen may be generated in real-time to present the catastrophic risk score and one or more corresponding loss metrics for the location due to a potential occurrence of the type of catastrophic event.

  • Patent number: 11430057
Abstract: A user account evaluation system is disclosed for evaluating risk associated with a user account. The system may obtain user account data associated with many user accounts, select a statistically significant subset of the user accounts, and then process (e.g., to determine types of the user accounts, etc.) and analyze the subset of user accounts to generate a plurality of evaluation models. When a new user account is accessed by the system, user account data may be obtained for the new user account, and the new user account may be evaluated based on the plurality of evaluation models. Accordingly, a plurality of evaluation parameter scores may be generated for the new user account, each of which may indicate an amount of risk associated with the user account. Some embodiments of the present disclosure may include machine learning and/or artificial intelligence methods to improve evaluation of the user accounts.

  • Patent number: 11301863
Abstract: Systems and methods for managing a user-selected card verification code (CVC2) value for a payment card are disclosed. A sever is coupled to a payment card database and a hardware security module. The server is programmed to receive a request from a user to change the CVC2 value of the payment card to the user-selected CVC2 value. Based upon the request, the server retrieves from a payment card table stored on the database a payment card record associated with the payment card. The server transmits the user-selected CVC2 value, and, from the payment card record, a primary account number, a payment card expiry date, and a first service code to a hardware security module. The server subsequently receives from the hardware security module a second service code associated with the user-selected CVC2 value. The server updates the first service code in the payment card record to the second service code.
