Abstract: One embodiment of the invention provides apparatus comprising an input for receiving a lottery number, K, from a lottery draw or other source of unpredictable numbers, and an output for presenting a graphical selector comprising N options. The graphical selector steps in sequence through said N options in accordance with the received lottery number K to select an option. The output can be incorporated into a broadcast television signal as part of a lottery program, and used to drive other material in the program, as well as providing an application for other platforms, such as mobile telephones and the Internet.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of playing a game of chance and entertainment, which incorporates an element of risk by rewarding a player for corresponding master and score value designations. One embodiment of the method of the present invention is played by at least one player. This embodiment is played with one master die and a plurality of scoring dice. The master die has a plurality of master sides, each master side bearing a master value designation thereon. Each scoring die has a plurality of scoring sides, with each scoring side of each scoring die bearing a score value designation corresponding to one of the master value designations. In a turn, the player shakes the master die and the plurality of scoring dice to obtain an upwardly facing master side and a plurality of upwardly facing scoring sides.

The trusses prevent lateral movements of the frame relative to the base. Different cartridges made of different materials may be substituted for one another to achieve different flexing characteristics.

Abstract: An air-operated sound producing device includes a main housing including a downwardly curved reed-plate formed thereon with a plurality of variously sized sound channels formed therein, a reed assembly having at least two vibratable reeds formed thereon, and a means to secure the reed assembly over the downwardly curved reed-plate. The reed-plate provides a portion between the sound channels for center support and vibration of the reed. The reed assembly of the sound producing device is vibratable in whole, or in part, over multiple sound channels. The device is particularly suited for the use of thin, relatively wide reeds. Further, the device provides for the adaptation of a variety of interchangeable variously sized reeds produced from a single piece of material. The disclosed novel device can produce a wide variety of unusual and desirable sounds of considerable volume and has applications to hand-held musical instruments, toys, novelty items, and wildlife attraction devices.

The device redirects an air stream from a forced air column received through the diffuser. A novelty item is disposed to depend from structure associated with the base for rotation of the novelty item by the air stream. An operable suspension system includes a magnet assembly and a magnetically attracted bearing element. Desirably, a safety catch is included to maintain the novelty item in proximity to the base in the event of decoupling between the magnet assembly and the bearing element. One preferred base is adapted to form a slip-on fit to a diffuser register of a dwelling's ventilation system. Certain novelty items are sized to provide a self-packaging capability for commercial display. An alternative base is structured to look like furniture, and may include a plurality of internal passageways through which air may selectively be directed.

Abstract: When a rod extending out of the bottom of a hollow rigid plastic trunk encasing a collapsible basketball backboard is pushed up, the backboard comes out of the top of the trunk and opens and a rim rotates 90 degrees to an “up” position perpendicular to the trunk. A pulley system inside the trunk, one end of which is connected to the push rod, controls rotation of a hinge attached to a rim, the hinge sitting in an opening in the top of the trunk. When the rod is pulled, the planar segments of the backboard fold to a point one behind the other and go downward to fit into the trunk and the hoop moves to a “down” position. In open position the backboard segments fan out. The rod has a V-shaped attachment piece connecting the top of the rod to the common bottom border of the backboard.

Abstract: A lacrosse handle having two sidewalls each with a channel and two arched walls extending between the sidewalls is disclosed herein. The channels contribute to increased gripping ability by the user and overall increased strength of the handle. Further, one of the arched walls may have a textured surface and the other arched wall may have a smooth surface to provide the user with a more accurate handle to head orientation than conventional lacrosse handles.
