  • Patent number: 11875468
Abstract: Three-dimensional (3D) image modeling systems and methods are disclosed herein for determining respective mid-section dimensions of individuals. Digital image(s) depicting at least a mid-section portion of an individual are obtained. A fit finder application (app) determines a rough 3D model based on the digital image(s). A parametric 3D model of a predefined individual is mapped to the rough 3D model in virtual 3D space to generate a fitted 3D model indicative of a physical size of at least the mid-section portion of the individual in ordinary space. A mid-section dimension of the individual is then determined based on the fitted 3D model.

  • Patent number: 11837121
Abstract: A display correction system includes a first obtainer, a second obtainer, a third obtainer, a predictor, and a corrector. The first obtainer obtains travel route information on a travel route ahead of a moving body. The second obtainer obtains speed information on a speed of the moving body. The third obtainer obtains orientation information on an orientation of the moving body. The predictor predicts, based on the travel route information and the speed information, a time period during which the moving body travels through a specific section in the travel route. The corrector performs correction of a displacement of a display position of a content on a display image based on the orientation information. Based on prediction result of the predictor, the corrector executes first control when the moving body is traveling in a normal section, and executes second control when the moving body is traveling in the specific section.

  • Patent number: 11803977
Abstract: Techniques are described for determining whether a point cloud registration (e.g., alignment) between two sets of data points is valid. Such techniques can include determining voxelized representations of the sets of data points, and comparing characteristics of spatially aligned voxels within the voxelized representations. Characteristics of voxels to be compared can include classification labels of data points associated with voxels, including whether or not voxels correspond to free space. Point cloud registrations determined to be invalid can be given a weighting to be used in a subsequent high definition (HD) map building process. Generated maps can then be deployed for use in autonomous vehicles.

  • Patent number: 11790601
Abstract: A minimal volumetric 3D transmission implementation enables efficient transmission of a 3D model to a client device. A volumetric 3D model is generated using a camera rig to capture frames of a subject. A viewer is able to select a view of the subject. A system determines an optimal subset of cameras of the camera rig to utilize to capture frames to generate the volumetric 3D model based on the viewer's selected view. The volumetric 3D model is transmitted to the user device. If the user changes the view, the process repeats, and a new subset of cameras are selected to generate the volumetric 3D model at a different angle.
