The region designating unit designates a region in which a punch hole is to be formed by the punch mechanism through the display unit. The extraction unit extracts punch hole formation portion candidates having a printing rate lower than a predetermined value in the designated region. The selection unit causes a user to select the hole formation portion satisfying the demand.
