Abstract: A pedal drive system, in particular for an electric vehicle or a training apparatus, and for generating electrical power from muscle power of a user with at least one pedal and an electric generator, connected mechanically with said at least one pedal, is provided. To improve the haptic feel and feedback at the pedal, a control unit is provided for controlling a feedback torque, applied at said pedal, wherein the control unit comprises a haptic renderer, configured for control of said feedback torque based on at least one predefined pedal reference trajectory.
Abstract: In a steering control apparatus, a basic assistance torque calculating unit calculates a basic assistance torque. A correction torque calculating unit calculates a correction torque to be added to the basic assistance torque. In the correction torque calculating unit, a returning state determining unit determines whether a steering wheel is turning or returning. A returning speed stabilization control unit calculates a returning speed stabilization torque to stabilize a returning speed of the steering wheel, as the correction torque. The returning speed stabilization control calculates the returning speed stabilization torque such as to bring a second-order time differential value of steering wheel position-related information correlated with a steering wheel position closer to zero, and such that an absolute value of the returning speed stabilization torque when the steering wheel is returning is relatively greater than that when the steering wheel is turning.
Abstract: Provided is a saddle-ride type vehicle that can improve the cooling ability when a radiator fan is provided only on one radiator of right and left radiators. A saddle-ride type vehicle has a water-cooled engine, right and left radiators supported by a body frame, and a cooling water passage that connects the right and left radiators and the water-cooled engine. A radiator fan is provided only on one radiator of the right and left radiators. One cooling water passage that connects the one radiator and the water-cooled engine has a larger diameter than the other cooling water passage that connects the other radiator and the water-cooled engine. The one radiator is larger than the other radiator.
Abstract: A mobile robot triangle chassis assembly is disclosed, which includes a housing, a top plate, an isolation plat, a bottom plate, a power package, multiple support beams and three sets of gear trains. The three sets of gear trains are equilaterally triangularly distributed, each of which includes a motor, a speed reducer, a support frame and an omnidirectional wheel. The mobile robot triangle chassis assembly has a double-layer structure, the three sets of gear trains are located at a lower layer of the double-layer structure, and the power package is located at an upper layer of the double-layer structure, so as to reduce an occupied area of the mobile robot triangle chassis assembly. In the mobile robot triangle chassis assembly, only the bottom of the omnidirectional wheel is located outside the bottom plate, so that components within the mobile robot triangle chassis assembly are protected.
Abstract: Provided is a traveling apparatus including a front wheel supporting member configured to rotatably support a front wheel; a rear wheel supporting member configured to rotatably support a rear wheel; a driving unit configured to drive at least one of the front wheel and rear wheel; an adjusting mechanism configured to adjust a wheel base length between the front wheel and the rear wheel by a user changing relative positions of the front wheel supporting member and the rear wheel supporting member; a control unit configured to control the driving unit based on a target speed associated with the wheel base length; and a failure detection unit configured to detect a failure in the traveling apparatus. When the failure detection unit detects the failure, the control unit stops the control based on the target speed associated with the wheel base length and performs control to extend the wheel base length.

Abstract: A motor controller includes control systems that control actuation of a motor. Each control system includes a drive circuit and a calculation unit. The calculation unit of each control system is connected to an independent rotation angle sensor. The calculation units include master and slave calculation units. The master and slave calculation units control actuation of the corresponding drive circuit based on a current instruction value calculated by the master calculation unit and a detection result of the rotation angle sensor connected to the master calculation unit. When the detection result of the rotation angle sensor connected to the master calculation unit is abnormal, the master and slave calculation units each use a detection result of the rotation angle sensor connected to the slave calculation unit to control the actuation of the corresponding drive circuit.

Abstract: An electrically power assisted bicycle includes a driving system including an electric motor that generates an assist force to assist human power of a rider and a first controller configured or programmed to control an operation of the electric motor; and an operation panel including buttons and a second controller. The buttons include a power button that turns on or off a power of the driving system, and an assist force setting button that sets an assist force of the electric motor. The second controller detects a press on each of the buttons to execute a predefined process. When the second controller detects a specific operation different from a normal operation on at least one button among the buttons while electric power is supplied to the driving system and the second controller is operated in a normal operation mode, the second controller prohibits the power from being turned off.
Abstract: The motorcycle includes: a supercharger that pressurizes intake air to supply the pressurized intake air to an engine; and an intake air tank forming an air intake chamber therein, which air intake chamber is provided at the downstream side of the supercharger with respect to an intake air flow direction and stores the intake air. The air intake chamber structure further includes an intake pipe formed as a separate body from the intake air tank and mounted on the intake air tank. Abstract: A dig system which allows for a vehicle to perform a dig maneuver, without sacrificing drivability. An actuator places the dig system in one of four different modes of operation, where the front wheels are placed in either a first configuration or a second configuration, where the front wheels are positioned at a desired steering angle, and one of the front or rear wheels is braked and prevented from rotating. The transfer case transfers power to one or more of the non-braked wheels, and disconnects from the remaining wheels. One or more of the non-braked wheels are rotated such that the vehicle pivots about an axis which extends through one of the wheels. One of the rear wheels is braked when performing a front dig maneuver, and one of the front wheels is be braked when performing a reverse dig maneuver.
Abstract: Disclosed herein are rear suspension systems for bicycles that coupling the rear wheel of the bicycle to the bicycle frame through a swing arm assembly. The structures disclosed herein allow for independent movement of a swing arm assembly in both a vertical and horizontal directions.
Abstract: A system for selective anchoring a climbing vehicle or robot to a surface of a structure. The system includes a foot (1) having at least one surface contacting toe assembly (2). The toe assembly includes a magnetic adhesion system transitionable between an engageable state, wherein said adhesion system is configured to actively hold said toe to the surface on a plane of engagement thereby anchoring said foot to the structure, and a disengageable state to allow detachment of said foot from said surface. The adhesion system includes a magnetic field generator for projecting a magnetic field outwardly from the plane of engagement toward said engaged surface when the adhesion system is in the engageable state, to thereby generate a magnetic attractive force between the module and a magnetic target material within or beneath the surface of the structure.

Abstract: The two-axle vehicle balance scooter includes an upper shell, lower shell, pedal, pressure sensors, brackets, wheels, press block, shaft, chip, and battery pack. The brackets include a pedal bracket, hardware support, battery support and chip support. The press block includes a wheel pressure block and an axial compression block, from bottom to top on the housing gasket installed the pedal bracket and pedals. Both sides of the body are disposed around a middle section that is a battery holder below which a battery is installed. Accordingly, the scooter is symmetrical thus providing better stability, easier handling, easy installation and removal of a battery and other benefits.
Abstract: An apparatus and method support a crane boom during its transportation. A crane dolly includes a trailer with a frame and a tower mounted on the frame. The tower is movable independent of the frame. A boom rest is attached to the tower and is configured to receive a portion of a crane boom. The boom rest may pivot with respect to the tower about at least a pivot point while the crane boom is transported with the crane dolly.

Abstract: In order to provide a steering device capable of inhibiting generation of abnormal sound without a complicated structure, the steering device is provided with a wheel gear connected to an output shaft which transmits an output to a turning wheel and a worm gear engaging with the wheel gear and capable of transmitting power generated by a motor to the wheel gear, and a rotational speed of the motor is made lower than that during normal operation, at the time driving of the stopped motor is started or at the time a rotational direction of the worm gear is reversed.
Abstract: In a straddle type vehicle including a body frame, a power unit supported to the body frame, and a throttle body connected to the power unit and adjusting the intake air amount, a gyro sensor for detecting behavior of the vehicle is arranged in the throttle body.
