Abstract: A combination hanger and indicator is disclosed. The hanger has a body and a hook extending upward from the body. The body includes a recess in a top surface thereof. The indicator has a top opening and a pair of opposite side walls connected by a pair of opposite end walls. The indicator further includes at least one resilient tab attached to a bottom surface thereof for engaging the recess in the top surface of the body.

Abstract: A yarn feed system, enabling the control of individual yarns to the needles of a tufting machine, and which system can be manufactured as a substantially standardized unit or attachment that can be removably mounted to a tufting machine. The yarn feed unit includes a series of yarn feed devices for feeding each of the yarns to the needles of the tufting machine, and a series of yarn feed controllers that monitor and control the operation of the yarn feed devices to control the feeding of the yarns to the needles according to programmed pattern instructions.

Abstract: A sewing machine including a needle bar that has a sewing needle attached in a lower end thereof; a needle-bar vertical drive mechanism that vertically moves the needle bar by a sewing machine motor via a sewing machine motor main shaft; an imaging unit that captures image of at least the sewing needle and a moving object that is in close proximity of the sewing needle; a distance calculating portion that calculates a distance between the sewing needle and the moving object based on image data captured by the imaging unit; a judging portion that makes a judgment that the distance calculated by the distance calculating portion is equal to or less than a predetermined distance; and a control portion that controls execution of a predetermined safety operation based on a judgment result of the judging portion.

Abstract: This invention comprises of one-time single-use gloves made from latex or vinyl that have a built in pocket space on the outside surface (the term “outside surface” refers to the surface of the glove that is distal from the body of the wearer) of the glove in palm and fingers areas that have tiny surface holes on the outside surface of the pocket to allow dispensing of solution that is sealed under a plastic pull back tab. Once the tab is pulled back, the solution can be forced out of the pocket's tiny holes located on the outside surface of the pocket, by squeezing the hands gently for small amounts or firmly to allow larger amounts of solution. These gloves can be produced to be sterile or non-sterile, depending on the need of the product. The purpose of these gloves are to provide a one time use solution to administering topical solutions, medication and shampoos to human and animal patients, providing a sterile approach when necessary, provide a barrier to disease between the caregiver and patient.

Abstract: Stem holders are attached to opposing sides of the headwear crown, each forming an opening extending from its front edge to its back edge. The front and back edges of each stem holder may be partially attached to the crown such that the opening is larger along the front than along the back. At least a portion of the opening may be angled downward from front to back. For brimmed headwear, a raised flair may be positioned on the brim to create a pocket between it and the crown. For brimless headwear, the raised flair may be attached to the front of the crown to form a pocket between it and at least a portion of the crown. In either the brimmed or brimless configuration, the lens portion of the glasses will rest in the pocket when the stems of the glasses are inserted into the stem holders.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a sports helmet with a clamp that secures an elongated strap of a chin protector assembly against the helmet. The clamp includes a main body having an opening, a finger and a receiver that is positioned between the opening and the finger. The clamp may also include a strengthening insert that extends longitudinally within the clamp. In a secured position, the main body is coupled to the helmet by both a fastener extending through the opening and the finger inserted into an aperture of the helmet. An extent of the chin strap is securedly positioned between the helmet and the receiver. In the secured position, an inner surface of the chin strap member is in contact with an outer surface of the helmet and an outer surface of the chin strap is in contact with the receiver. The receiver includes a plurality of gripping members that engage an outer surface of the chin strap in the secured position.

Preferably, the first and second conductive portions comprise substantially the same amount of conductive material.

Abstract: A garment, such as a woman's slip, that includes a skirt portion weighted so as to induce tension into the garment when worn by a wearer standing erect. The skirt portion is weighted by securing one or more concentrated tensioning weights to the skirt portion proximate its bottom. The tension induced into the garment by the concentrated tensioning weight(s) inhibits the garment from riding-up on the wearer. The amount of weight provided by the concentrated tensioning weights and the location of the tensioning weights on the skirt can be carefully selected to minimize swinging, for example, while walking and climbing stairs.

Abstract: Disclosed is a protective mask of the kind having particular application for covering the eyes, ears, nose and chin of one playing the game of paintball. The protective mask has a lens that can be quickly and easily removed for replacement as a consequence of paint splatter or cracking such as that caused by the impact thereagainst of a paintball traveling at high speed. The protective mask also has a detachable head strap that is coupled to the lens through the mask. More particularly, a hole formed through an ear covering section of the mask is axially aligned with a hole formed through an ear covering section of the removable lens. One end of the detachable head strap is tied to a first connector. The first connector includes an upstanding locking catch that is moved into the axially aligned holes formed through the mask and the lens.

Abstract: A finger protecting device for protecting at least one finger against chafing resulting from rubbing against the shaft when practicing a sport with the shaft, such as golfing. The device comprises a sleeve for the thumb. The sleeve has front and rear surfaces, the front surface being positioned before a digital area of the thumb for acting as a barrier between the thumb and the shaft. The sleeve has first and second opposite ends, the second end being open-ended for allowing the thumb to be inserted into the sleeve. The device comprises fastening means connected to the sleeve for selectively adjusting and fastening the sleeve onto the thumb. The device may comprise extension portions, as well as additional sleeves for other fingers of the hand, the other sleeves exposing the fingertips of the fingers to enable a better feel for the shaft.

Abstract: A chin pad assembly and method of construction thereof provides an outer shell of plastics material having straps attached thereto and an inner cushion member attached to the shell independently of the straps. The shell has an outer surface and an inner surface providing a pocket with a pair of openings formed in the shell between the outer and inner surfaces. The inner cushion member is received in the pocket of the shell and provides a pocket to receive a wearer's chin. An attachment mechanism has a pair of elongate members extending from an outer surface of the cushion member. Each of the elongate members is received through a separate one of the openings in the shell and coupled outwardly from the outer surface of the shell to releasably attach the cushion member to the shell independently of the straps.
