  • Patent number: 11760037
Abstract: A feedback control system for use with ultrasonic welding. A weld energy set point and/or a reference power curve are used by a controller to provide a power supply voltage set point and a power supply frequency set point for the power that is to be drawn by an ultrasonic weld generator. Information regarding the actual voltage and/or frequency of the drawn electrical power, and/or the frequency and magnitude of an ultrasonic wave transmitted from the generator to an applicator tool used to weld an object can be utilized by an estimator to estimate the weld energy dissipated at the weld site and/or generate a power curve for the welding operation. Using information from the estimator, the controller can determine adjustments for variables for the current and/or future welding operations. Further, welding may not commence until a clamping force exerted on the object satisfies a clamping force set point.

  • Patent number: 11756809
Abstract: After the inside of a sealed accommodating chamber of a tape attaching apparatus is decompressed, a dicing tape covering a back surface of a wafer is attached to an upper surface of an annular projection of the wafer. Thereafter, the inside of the accommodating chamber is pressurized, to press the dicing tape toward the recess in the back surface of the wafer. As a result, the dicing tape can be attached, substantially without a gap, to substantially the whole area of the back surface of the wafer inclusive of a corner part which is the boundary between the recess and the annular projection. By adjusting the air pressure inside the accommodating chamber, the dicing tape can be easily attached to substantially the whole area of the back surface of the wafer in a short time.

  • Patent number: 11731371
Abstract: A sterile connection device includes first and second carriages. The first carriage defines a first portion of a proximal slot and a first portion of a distal slot, while the second carriage defines second portions of the proximal and distal slots. A controller executes a sterile connection procedure in which a solid cutting blade is heated, followed by the heated blade being moved to a cutting position to cut sealed proximal and distal tubes received by the slots. The second carriage moves proximally or distally with respect to the first carriage so as to align the cut ends of the tubes. The heated blade then moves out of the cutting position, followed by the first carriage moving toward the second carriage so as to press the cut ends of the tubes into contact with each other so as to sterilely connect the cut ends and define a joined tube.
