    Abstract: Method, apparatus, and computer program product for a user equipment in a wireless communications system to receive configuration information that has one or more TCI-states. With this configuration information, the user equipment can then determine inactivity on TCI-states. Based on that determination, the user equipment enables either a discontinuous monitoring or a cessation of monitoring on those TCI-states. Each TCI-state corresponds to a radio beam and also corresponds to an antenna panel. By reducing such monitoring, the use equipment can deactivate antenna panels corresponding to the TCI-states. The determination can be done through the use of a timer with various time thresholds based on the TCI-state. The activity being transmitted on those beam can be scheduling received by the user equipment from a network element such as a base station. The TCI-states can also be grouped and the functionality of the invention dealt with on a group basis.

The orchestrator connects multiple child logical switches to the multiple child logical ports according to the received mapping. Each child logical switch is uniquely identified by an overlay network identifier.

This enables the communication apparatus to operate so as not to exceed a set maximum bandwidth when large traffic is received for the delay guarantee shaping. Further, When the maximum bandwidth is exceeded, the communication apparatus can select whether to discard a packet to prioritize a delay guarantee or to hold a packet to prioritize no loss of packets. Furthermore, the communication apparatus can immediately transmit a packet without increasing a communication delay when input traffic is very small.

    Abstract: System and methods are described for providing adaptive routing in the presence of persistent flows. Switches in a fabric have the capability to establish flow channels. Switches can adaptively route flows, while monitoring transmission characteristics of the flows channels to identify whether any flows are experiencing congestion towards a destination. In response to detecting congestion, it can be further determined whether the flow is related to a source of congestion, or alternative the flow is a victim of congestion. Flows that are a source of congestion have their routing constrained to prevent congestion from propagating. For example, new packets of a flow that is a source of congestion may be forced to only take the path of the data transmission that detected said congestion (preventing congestion from spreading). Alternatively, victims of congestion do not have their routing constrained, and packets can take any path as permitted by adaptive routing.
