  • Patent number: 11950980
Abstract: A tooth implant system has an upper abutment, a lower abutment, a crown, and an elastic member securely placed between the upper abutment and the lower abutment providing softer and elastic, yet resilient, cushion between the upper abutment and the lower abutment. To better affix the elastic member within the tooth implant system, a ring lock may be used, securely placed in a ring-lock groove located on the lower abutment section. An insertion of a screw deeper into the lower abutment receptacle pushes the ring lock-groove and the ring lock outwardly to force the elastic member against an inner chamber wall of the upper abutment and into the abutment groove to better securely affix the elastic member.

  • Patent number: 11918432
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for endodontic treatment of teeth provide effective cleaning of organic material (such as pulp and diseased tissue) from the root canal system. In an embodiment, a compressor system generates high pressure liquid (e.g., water) that flows through an orifice to produce a high-velocity collimated jet of liquid. The high-velocity jet is directed toward a surface of a tooth, for example, an exposed dentinal surface, and impingement of the jet onto the surface generates an acoustic wave that propagates throughout the tooth. The acoustic wave effectively detaches organic material from dentinal surfaces and tubules. The detached organic material is flushed from the root canal system by the liquid jet and/or by additional irrigation.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to various systems and methods related to preventative laser-based treatment of a dental tissue; for example, to prevent a patient from forming cavities. In some instances, a laser-based treatment system can generate a laser beam pulse with a fluence profile at a treatment site that results in either an increase in acid resistance of the tissue or removal of carbonate from the tissue, without melting or ablating the tissue. In some instances, the laser-based treatment system can direct the laser beam to various locations within a treatment site according to a temporal and/or spatial pattern, that results in either an increase in acid resistance of the tissue or removal of carbonate from the tissue, without melting or ablating the tissue. Many other systems and techniques for preventative and other laser-based treatment are also described.
