In such a polyester resin, the bisphenol A-alkylene oxide adduct-derived component is contained at 0.01˜0.35 mol relative to 1 mol of all the acid-derived components, and the ratio of acid value (mg KOH/g) to hydroxyl value (mg KOH/g) is set to be 1:3˜1:26.

Abstract: A cold brewing coffee device that produces coffee without any suspended solids in the product. The devices uses a false bottom in the initial tank to hold the coffee beans and water is pumped between the initial tank and a second tank. Using an inverted P trap in the piping allow for reduced suspended solids in the final product. The end product is a high quality cold brewed beverage that is defined by the beverages clarity and lack of visible suspended solids, wherein the resulting product has a distinct look compared to other brewed beverages (i.e. producing a product that is cleaner than competing products without the need for a filter).
Abstract: A pour-over coffee brewer apparatus comprises a base containing a motor that drives a coffee grinder via a set of gear assemblies, a vertical support structure extending upwards from a rear portion of the base, and a horizontal support structure extending out from a top portion of the vertical support structure, the horizontal support structure comprising a grinder for grinding coffee beans and a water dispenser for dispensing water onto ground coffee beans. The set of gear assemblies comprises a first gear assembly in the base, a second gear assembly in the horizontal support structure, and a gear shaft in the vertical support structure that couples the first gear assembly and the second gear assembly.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a magnetic carrier for an electrophotographic developer comprising spherical magnetic composite particles comprising a phenol resin as a binder and ferromagnetic iron oxide particles bonded to each other through the phenol resin, wherein the spherical magnetic composite particles have a ten-point mean roughness Rz of 0.3 to 2.0 ?m. The magnetic carrier for an electrophotographic developer according to the present invention exhibits an excellent durability against peeling-off and abrasion of coating resins formed thereon and a high stability to mechanical stress exerted onto the carrier, is free from occurrence of spent toner, can be stably held over a long period of time without occurrence of fogging and unevenness in density of toner images, and can keep high-quality images with an excellent gradation for a long period of time.
Abstract: A toner according to an embodiment includes a colorant, a binder resin, and an ester wax. The colorant, the binder resin and the ester wax form a toner particle. The ester wax contains two or more ester compounds represented by the general formula R1COOR2, where R1 and R2 each independently is an alkyl group. The total number of carbon atoms of R1 and R2 is in a range from 31 to 53. The two or more ester compounds have different number of carbon atoms from each other.
Abstract: Provided is a method of preparing a poly-silicic-ferric coagulant (PSFC) having a controlled aggregating strength. In particular, according to an embodiment, provided is a method of preparing a PSFC that may effectively suppress both formation of fine toner particles having a particle size that is smaller than a desired particle size and formation of coarse toner particles having a particle size that is greater than the desired particle size, wherein the PSFC for a toner is used in preparation of a toner by using an emulsion aggregation (EA) method. The PSFC for a toner prepared by using the method, according to an embodiment, significantly exhibits a controlled aggregating strength, and thus a viscosity of an emulsion aggregation solution for the toner preparation is appropriate, which results in suppressing production of fine toner particles and coarse toner particles. In this regard, a toner preparation yield may improve.
