    Abstract: A rotor assembly for mounting a rotor to a motor shaft having a rotor with a centrally positioned central bore, the diameter of which is slightly larger than a diameter of the motor shaft, a first stepped bore intersecting the central bore and being aligned along a first axis of the rotor, and a second stepped bore also intersecting the central bore and being aligned along a second axis of the rotor. A first cam fastener is disposed within the first stepped bore, and a second cam fastener is disposed within the second stepped bore. Upon rotating the first and second cam fasteners, they engage the motor shaft thereby securely clamping the rotor to the motor shaft.

    Abstract: A rotor of an outer rotor type motor is coupled to an outside of a stator, and is provided with a shaft coupler, for being connected with a shaft of a drum, fixed at its center portion by an injected material, and a plurality of radiation holes formed therein continuously in a radial direction. The rotor includes at least one cooling fin provided with a base member fixed to a bottom surface of the rotor and a curved member attached to the base member, wherein the cooling fin is combined with the bottom surface so as to be disposed adjacent to the radiation hole. Therefore, a contact area with air can be increased, and an air circulation through the radiation holes can be facilitated. Accordingly, deterioration of the efficiency of a washing machine is prevented despite long periods of operation, and any damage caused by overheating is prevented.

    Abstract: An outer rotor type multi-pole generator includes a stator mounted on a stationary support, and a rotor formed by fixedly attaching a magnet to the inner periphery of a bottomed cylindrical rotor yoke that is coaxially fixed to an end of a drive shaft rotatably supported by the support and that coaxially covers the stator. A plurality of radially extending vanes are integrally provided in a closed end of the rotor yoke, and a plurality of intake holes positioned between the vanes are formed in the closed end of the rotor yoke. It is thereby possible to reduce the number of components and improve the efficiency of assembly operations, and to set the overall axial length of the generator at a relatively small value while avoiding any reduction in the rigidity with which the rotor is supported.

    Abstract: In a spindle motor in which teeth portions of a stator core formed by laminating magnetic plates are bent in order to increase the number of turns of the stator windings, a gap in the teeth portions between the magnetic plates is avoided and a precise attractive force adjustment becomes possible. The stator core is bent such that its teeth portions faces a surface of a rotor magnet at right angles, and the teeth portions and salient pole arm portions around which windings are wound are substantially parallel to each other. The salient pole arm portions locate approximately halfway between a lower surface of a hub and an upper surface of a base. Further, a thickness of a magnetic plate is set to be 0.5 to 0.9 times that of other portions.
