  • Patent number: 9665561
Abstract: A system for analyzing text-based information is presented. Each datum of information includes an author, a description and a timestamp. A fetcher fetches the raw information according to keywords. A parser parses the raw information to refine the results. A lexicon management module extracts lemmas from the raw information, and creates an edited lexicon containing the raw data and the lemmas for each datum. A data manager correlates lemmas in the edited lexicon and identifies clusters of lemmas that are correlated between each other. The results can be visually displayed to a user, and clusters of lemma that are less correlated than the other clusters can be visually identified. In one aspect, the user is able to excise the less correlated clusters, in order to further refine the results of the keyword search.

  • Patent number: 9659059
Abstract: Word phrases are stored in a phrase structure. Each word is stored as a keyword in a keyword structure. Each keyword is associated with usage attributes identifying use of a word in a word phrase. Any preceding words associated with a keyword, and a mapping from any preceding words to a word phrase, is stored for each word. A word string is input. Match attributes are updated in a match structure if a word in the word string matches any keyword and if any preceding words associated with any matching keyword includes a preceding word which precedes the word in the word string. The match attributes indicate use of the matching word in the word string and in a word phrase. Whether a word phrase is present in the word string is determined based on the usage attributes and the match attributes associated with multiple matching words.

  • Patent number: 9646626
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and computer-readable storage devices for processing audio signals. An example system configured to practice the method receives audio at a device to be transmitted to a remote speech processing system. The system analyzes one of noise conditions, need for an enhanced speech quality, and network load to yield an analysis. Based on the analysis, the system determines to bypass user-defined options for enhancing audio for speech processing. Then, based on the analysis, the system can modify an audio transmission parameter used to transmit the audio from the device to the remote speech processing system. The audio transmission parameter can be one of an amount of coding, a chosen codec, an amount of coding, or a number of audio channels, for example.

  • Patent number: 9620110
Abstract: An automated method is described for developing an automated speech input semantic classification system such as a call routing system. A set of semantic classifications is defined for classification of input speech utterances, where each semantic classification represents a specific semantic classification of the speech input. The semantic classification system is trained from training data from training data substantially without manually transcribed in-domain training data, and then operated to assign input speech utterances to the defined semantic classifications. Adaptation training data based on input speech utterances is collected with manually assigned semantic labels from at least one source of already collected language data. When the adaptation training data satisfies a pre-determined adaptation criteria, the semantic classification system is automatically retrained based on the adaptation training data.
