  • Patent number: 5267403
Abstract: The multiple picture-holder described has square mounts (K1) of different sizes. Each mount comprises a transparent faceplate (1) and a backplate (2) fastened against it. The faceplate (1) has, printed on it, a mask (3) surrounding a rectangular window (1a). The rear side of the backplate (2) is divided into squares (2c), the outer of which are designed as click-in attachment fixtures (2c') for connecting clips (6). The connecting clips (6) have matching fixtures (6b) which engage in the attachment fixtures (2c') so that they are held in place. Both the distance between the centre-lines (M) of two adjacent attachment fixtures (2c') and the distance between the mount sides and the adjacent centrelines (M) have the same value (X). It has been found that suitable distances (X) are those which permit combinations of mounts (K1) designed for different standard photo sizes, such as 9.times.13, 10.times.15, 13.times.18 and 18.times.25 cm or 4.times.6, 5.times.8 and 8.times.

  • Patent number: 5261723
Abstract: An ergonomic chair has its seat portion (4) which, in addition to be adjustable as to the height, forms a variable tilting angle, positive or negative with respect to the horizontal, in consequence of the height thereof, said tilting angle being obtained through a swinging movement of the seat (4) such as to form an arc of circumference about a rotation center substantially coincident with the center of gravity (CG) of a person sitting on the chair. This swinging movement of the seat is preferably accompanied by the rotation of a lever arm (6) pivotedly mounted at an end (6a) to the stationary portion (1a) of the seat support (1) and hinged at the other end (6b) to the front side of the seat (4), the length of said lever (6) or the pivoting point with seat (4) being adjustable by a simple operation of the user to modify the variation of the tilting angle of the seat (4) in function of its height. Said lever arm (6) may be provided with some elastic feature.

  • Patent number: 5259136
Abstract: A holder for a collectible card is constructed of a flexible jacket having two identical transparent panels of rectangular perimeter defined by four straight exterior edges and bonded together along three of the edges. The unbonded fourth exterior edges provide an entrance opening to the jacket. A flexible thin insert member completely fills the jacket except for an aperture of rectangular configuration in the insert member disposed in parallel relationship to the perimeter of the panels. The aperture is defined by four straight interior edges. That interior edge which is parallel to and adjacent the entrance opening serves to retain a collectible card within the aperture, preventing inadvertent release of the card from the aperture.

  • Patent number: 5255466
Abstract: A double face sign utilizes flexible sign face material which is tensioned to a sufficiently high degree of absorb all loads anticipated for the sign. A relatively light weight and weak cover frame is provided to which the sign face is pretensioned. The more rigid and strong main frame of the sign carries a tensioning edge which extends outwardly of a face plane of the main frame. The cover frame is bolted against the face plane of the main frame to press the inner surface of the sign face against the tensioning edge, to complete tensioning of the sign face material. The final tensioning force is absorbed by the strong main frame by its attachments to the cover frame.

  • Patent number: 5253440
Abstract: A picture frame comprises a molded frame member having a generally planar rear surface, a rectangular rear backing plate, and an elongate support. A generally rectangular housing recess on the rear surface defines an inner land, the inner periphery of which circumscribes the window aperture of the picture frame. Opposing peripheral walls in the recess adjoining the land have respective elongate grooves formed therein for receiving a protruding fin on a first longitudinal edge of the backing plate. A slide aperture is formed centrally on the backing plate adjacent a second longitudinal edge including a recess on the front surface of the plate in communication therewith and extending to the proximate edge. A sliding catch positioned therein is engageable with a second groove of the housing recess to releasably secure the plate to the frame member. Two further apertures formed on a central portion of the backing plate are traversed by axis rods which protrude rearwards therefrom.

  • Patent number: 5251956
Abstract: A foldable table attachment is connected to the side bar of a collapsible chaise lounge for pivotal movement between a storage position and overlying engagement with a surface of the seat portion of the chaise lounge and a use position wherein the table top extends generally horizontally outwardly from the seat portion. A pivotal leg structure on the table top is pivotal from a storage position parallel to the table top to a use position extended downwardly from the table top for ground support. Upon pivotal movement of the table legs and table top to their storage position and upon collapsing of the back and leg support panels of the chaise lounge and leg members of the chaise lounge to their storage positions, the collapsed lounge chair may be stored in the same space required for storage of the chair alone.

  • Patent number: 5245774
Abstract: The present invention provides a flexible sign assembly that includes a frame having a front edge which defines a sign area. A flexible sign material, having a front side and a back side, has a sign body that approximately spans the sign area, and a sign periphery that is releasably secured to the frame. The sign periphery is wrapped around the perimeter of a retaining member with the front side of the flexible sign material contacting the retaining member. An L-shaped extension of a tensioning member is configured to engage a U-shaped channel on the retaining member, thereby capturing a part of the sign periphery therebetween. The tensioning member has a catch that mates with each of a series of ridges on the frame, which ridges are substantially parallel to the front edge of the frame.
