Abstract: A folding footrest has a thin, flat rectangular platform with a foot-supporting upper surface and hinges at two opposed short sides that pivotally connect to a pair of flat legs. The legs support the platform in an elevated position above a surface on which the legs rest. This provides an elevated footrest, especially for the seated short person. The hinges permit the legs to swing the from the vertical operative position in which both legs are parallel to one another and extended downward at right angles to the platform to the folded, transport position lying flat on top of upper surface of the platform. By covering the soiled foot-supporting surface of the platform with the folded legs, a more sanitary folded package is provided for carrying in pocket or purse. The hinge cooperates with the legs and platform to stop the legs from moving toward one another when in the operative position.
Abstract: A message holder for use in vehicles or home or other building windows or the like provides for the display of a message inserted therein. The holder is formed of at least one sheet of transparent material and contains a central space in which a message, such as a bumper sticker, may be temporarily installed for display. Suspension rods are pivotally attached to opposite ends of the holder and have suction cups to provide for the attachment of the holder to any suitable surface. The suspension rods may be locked at any desired angle in order to allow a message displayed within the holder to be seen clearly even through a sloped window, as in the rear window of many vehicles. The holder provides for the temporary display of a bumper sticker or other message as desired without the need to adhesively secure the sticker to a surface and the resulting difficulty of subsequent removal and possible marring of the finish.

Abstract: A picture display includes a clear substrate and a sealing sheet which holds a masking liner against the substrate to create a pocket between the substrate and the liner. A picture is insertable into the pocket where it can be held for display through the clear substrate. In the manufacture of the picture display, an ink deposit is placed around the border of the substrate and this deposit is then held between the substrate and the sealing sheet. This creates a framing effect for any picture which is placed in the pocket. Further, the sealing sheet is formed with a slit which provides access into the pocket. Still further, a portion of the substrate can be heat formed to create a stand for the picture display.
Abstract: An electrical reading guide device for use in typing by a typist is composed mainly of a reading guide plate and a driving apparatus capable of making an up-and-down movement along a strip furrow located at the margin of one side of the reading guide plate. The driving apparatus comprises a transmission device and a pulling device. The transmission device comprises a reversible motor having a shaft with a worm rod attached thereto and a driven gear set having a winding cylinder attached thereto. The pulling device comprises a wire wound around the winding cylinder. When the reversible motor is activated, the worm rod triggers the driven gear set to rotate so as to drive one winding cylinder to wind the wire while another winding cylinder is in a state of unwinding the wire. Therefore, the driving apparatus is capable of moving in a direction in which the wire is wound by the winding cylinder.
