Abstract: Trigger module securing apparatus using internally threaded pins and threaded fasteners to secure a trigger module into the lower receiver of a rifle.
Abstract: An explosive device, such as a missile, artillery round, aerial bomb, mortar round, or mine, that utilizes a wall structure that upon detonation provides displacement of smaller fragments interstitially between larger fragments. The displacement of the smaller fragments into the interstitial spaces at detonation creates an expanding fragmentation curtain that momentarily contains expanding gases to increase the impulse pressure of the explosion, thereby increasing the kinetic energy imparted to the fragments. In some embodiments, the wall structure includes ordered layers of preformed metal fragments encased in binder material that suspends the fragments in a desired arrangement prior to detonation.

Abstract: An offset magazine release button includes a body portion and a generally stairstep-shaped end portion. The body portion may be inserted into a magazine release opening of a firearm. The stairstep-shaped end portion may include an indention portion providing or creating a floor or floor portion and a narrow stairstep riser. The floor, when part of the assembled firearm, is generally flush with the firearm's gripping surface to create an augmented gripping surface that may allow the operator to have a higher grip to help control recoil. The end portion also includes an offset contacting pad. The floor transitions to the riser, which then transitions to the pad. The pad has a generally perpendicular ledge or surface extending toward an actuating thumb position of the operator's grip. The pad surface may be textured to provide for better contact with the operator's thumb when depressing the button to release a magazine.
Abstract: A detonator which is initiated by a shock tube event which is validated if a processor determines that a fusible link was not fused by a shock tube event at a predetermined time interval before light generated by the shock tube event is detected.

Abstract: A sight magnifier assembly is configured to be releasably secured to a rail feature of a firearm to be used with a sight assembly to enhance a downrange image. The sight magnifier assembly includes a base configured to be releasably secured to the rail feature of the firearm and a housing rotatably coupled to the base. The housing is configured to support sight optics used to enhance or improve the downrange image. The assembly further includes a mechanism configured to enable the rotation the housing with respect to the base between a use position in which the sight optics is configured to be used with the sight assembly and a stored position in which the sight optics is moved so that the housing and the sight magnifier assembly is nearly completely obscured from the operator by the sight assembly as viewed along a longitudinal axis.
Abstract: The present invention includes a shield having a shield portion and a handle, the handle comprising a wall mount that allows the shield to be hung on a wall. The handle is coupled to the shield portion at a first end portion and a second end portion. An outward bending portion is disposed between the first end portion and the second end portion that allows a user to hold the shield. The wall mount includes a slit configured to house the head of a nail or other hanging fixtures and enables the shield to be mounted on a wall.
Abstract: The inventive subject matter is directed to systems and apparatuses that are designed to work in cooperation with a firearm such that the firearm can fire a less lethal projectile. Systems can include a mounting device that clips onto a firearm, where that mounting device also include mounting posts. The mounting posts protrude from an end of the mounting device, and the mounting posts are designed to couple with mounting holes on an associated slug. Slugs of the inventive subject matter thus feature mounting holes and a center-bored hole that is designed to capture a bullet that is fired from a firearm that the system is coupled to. When a bullet is captured by a slug, an inelastic collision takes place that causes the slug to leave the firearm at around 20% of the bullet's original speed.
Abstract: Workpieces for producing a firearm have an elongated body defined within a cross-sectional profile with a first elongated passage configured to receive the upper portion of the bolt, and with a second elongated passage configured to receive the lower portion of the bolt, and the elongated body having a separator between the first elongated passage and the second elongated passage and configured to prevent installation of the bolt assembly when the separator is present, and to enable installation of the bolt assembly when the separator is absent. The cross-sectional profile may be along the entire length of the elongated body. The cross-sectional profile may fully encompass the first elongated passage. The first elongated passage may be open only at the ends of the elongated body. The cross-sectional profile may have a U-shaped cross-section.
Abstract: A semiautomatic or fully automatic firearm that includes a barrel, the rear barrel end whereof is in the form of a cartridge chamber into which a cartridge can be inserted, a breech body which is arranged such that it can move in the longitudinal direction between an open position, which releases the cartridge chamber for the reloading of a cartridge, and a closed position which closes the cartridge chamber, wherein the breech body closes the cartridge chamber at the rear in the closed position and is used as a support for the cartridge case of the cartridge, wherein the firearm has a mass simulation body which is in force-fitting engagement with the breech body, in particular a mass simulation body which is rigidly connected to the breech body, the mass simulation body being formed at least in part from a magnetizable or a magnetic material.
