  • Patent number: 10303408
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method for printing via printing device-independent instructions. A rendered print job is received from a printer driver. A value of an attribute of the rendered print job is obtained. Determination regarding whether the value of the attribute of the rendered print job corresponds to one of a plurality of values acceptable by a printing device for the attribute is made. In response to a determination that the value is acceptable, the rendered print job is sent directly to the printing device. In response to a determination that the value is not acceptable, the rendered print job is re-rendered with a value acceptable by the printing device for the attribute, and the re-rendered print job is sent to the printing device.

  • Patent number: 10265996
Abstract: Disclosed are an ink edge anti-counterfeiting method and an ink edge anti-counterfeiting network identification system. Tiny sawteeth (6) are randomly produced on ink edges of a product code (4) and/or an image-text and the sawteeth (6) are zoomed in on and photographed, feature information about the sawteeth (6) on the ink edges acquired through photographing is stored in an ink edge anti-counterfeiting network identification system database as anti-counterfeiting feature information, and sawtooth feature information to be checked is compared with the sawtooth feature information in the database to identify the authenticity. The method and system are simple and easy to implement, do not need to increase equipment investment, can realize an effective anti-counterfeiting function, and can avoid the problem in the existing digital anti-counterfeiting techniques, such as a telegram code, that the anti-counterfeiting feature information can be easily copied and stolen by internal staff.

  • Patent number: 10261728
Abstract: In an image processing system including a plurality of MFPs, it is assumed that a terminal apparatus accepts a request for connection to an MFP from a user. When a remote operation of the MFP through the terminal apparatus cannot be performed, the terminal apparatus requests of another MFP different from the MFP for connection and receives transfer of representation information for displaying an operation screen from another MFP. The terminal apparatus transfers operation information representing an operation by the user onto the operation screen to another MFP. When the processing based on the operation information is processing of a print job by the user in the MFP, another MFP transfers the print job to the MFP.

  • Patent number: 10244136
Abstract: An operation panel of an image forming apparatus receives in a login state and does not receive in a logout state a job setting instruction, etc. When a communication section receives a confirmation request to confirm use status of the image forming apparatus, a controller of the image forming apparatus specifies a requester who is a user of a communication device having transmitted the confirmation request and determines whether the image forming apparatus is to be set in a reserved state based on communication with the communication device. When a user information set of the requester is input in a state in which the image forming apparatus is in the reserved state, the controller causes the operation panel to transition from the logout state to the login state. The controller refuses additional login from a user other than the requester during the image forming apparatus being in the reserved state.
