    Abstract: Various embodiments of carrier aggregation are provided that increase communications capacity and throughput. According to some embodiments, a transmitter is configured with a plurality of transmitter chains and, responsive to an aggregate bandwidth and/or frequency content of an overall signal that is to be transmitted by the transmitter, the overall signal is segmented into a plurality of components, each one of which comprises a bandwidth that is smaller than the bandwidth of the overall signal, and is thus transmitted by the plurality of transmitter chains of the transmitter. Accordingly, each component of the plurality of components of the overall signal is processed by a respective transmitter chain of the plurality of transmitter chains. Systems/methods of spatial multiplexing are also provided further increasing network capacity and throughput.

    Abstract: A method for user relocation triggered by a Home NodeB Gateway (HGW) is provided, which comprises steps of: transmitting, by the HGW, a relocation request message to a Home NodeB (HNB) to which a User Equipment (UE) belongs; triggering, by the HNB, a relocation procedure to relocate the UE to another NodeB; and transmitting, by the HNB, a relocation response message corresponding to the relocation request message to the HGW. With the present invention, it is possible in a HNB system to implement a UE relocation triggered by a HGW for new scenarios. This scheme enhances the Iu-h interface and facilitates the improvement of service quality of users. Additionally, it is capable of providing users with continuous services in different scenarios. The present method is easy to implement and effective in improving the stability and performance of HNB system.

In an example method, a first wireless device receives a first incoming version indicator from a second wireless device, the first incoming version indicator identifying an AS version supported by the second wireless device, and transmits a device version indicator in one or more outgoing messages, in response to determining that the first incoming version indicator is unknown to the first wireless device or that the first incoming version indicator corresponds to an AS version that is not supported by the first wireless device. The transmitted device version indicator corresponds to the most recent AS version of two or more AS versions supported by the first wireless device.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are described for robust scheduling of beam switching patterns in satellite communications systems. Embodiments operate in context of a hub-spoke satellite communications architecture having a number of gateway terminals servicing large numbers of user terminals over a number of spot beams. The satellite includes switching subsystems that distribute capacity to the user beams from multiple of the gateway terminals in a shared manner according to a beam group switching pattern. The beam group switching pattern is robustly formulated to continue distributing capacity during gateway outages (e.g., when one or two gateway terminals are temporarily non-operational due to rain fade, equipment failure, etc.). For example, the beam group switching pattern can be formulated to minimize worst-case degradation of capacity across user beams, to prioritize certain beams or beam groups, etc.

The method also includes receiving again the data transferred by the device management node and responsively incorporating the data into the blank node of the new data tree.

The method includes identifying an antenna on a rooftop and determining a transmitter to provide LOS radio service to the antenna. A residential units data set for the service area is created. In an embodiment, the residential units data set is based on a light detection and ranging (LIDAR) data set. The residential units data set is accessed and a cross section analysis of a line of sight from the transmitter with the rooftop data is conducted to identify regions that have line of sight. A service quality ranking is generated based on the level of visibility between the residential unit and the transmitter for each of the identified regions on the rooftop. A region is selected for antenna placement that has the highest service quality ranking.

A second method includes measuring, by a first device, interference on a wireless channel; identifying an interfering device for the wireless channel based on the measurement; and generating a channel side information feedback message based on the measured interference on the wireless channel. The channel side information feedback message indicates the interfering device for the wireless channel and a correlation of interference from the interfering device with time or frequency.

The method provided herein can cancel the interfering signals leaked to the receiving channel, the receiving channel suppresses the transmitted signal effectively, and the interference caused by the transmitted signal onto the received signal is cancelled.
