  • Patent number: 11378212
Abstract: A pair of first leg portions of a retainer have first taper surfaces at distal end sides on surfaces on the side to which a first pipe is to be inserted. The first taper surfaces cause the retainer to move from an initial position to an insertion position by an axial-direction pressing force from an annular protrusion, during a period until the first pipe is inserted to a regular position. During the period until the first pipe is inserted to the regular position, a pair of second leg portions restrict the retainer from moving from the initial position to a confirmation position. In a state in which the first pipe is inserted to the regular position, the pair of second leg portions allow the retainer to move from the initial position to the confirmation position.

  • Patent number: 11371634
Abstract: A method for coupling a tube to a tube fitting includes radially outwardly expanding a tubular compression collar from a constricted state to an expanded state, the compression collar having a throughway extending there through and being made of a resiliently flexible material. An end of the tube is inserted within the throughway of the expanded compression collar, the tube bounding a passageway. A tube fitting is inserted within the passageway of the tube. The compression collar is allowed to resiliently rebound back towards the constricted state so that the compression collar pushes the tube against the tube fitting.

  • Patent number: 11371635
Abstract: To provide a connector that facilitates assembly while having a great axial-direction engagement force, a male joint member to be connected to a first member has a plurality of outer protrusions, and a female joint member to be connected to a second member has a plurality of inner protrusions. A circumferential-direction gap between adjacent two inner protrusions allows the outer protrusion to pass therethrough. The female joint member has, in an area opposed to inner protrusion back surfaces, a circular space that allows the plurality of outer protrusions to relatively rotate therein. The inner protrusion back surfaces of the plurality of inner protrusions are engaged in the axial direction with outer protrusion back surfaces of the plurality of outer protrusions that have passed through the circumferential-direction gaps between the plurality of inner protrusions.

  • Patent number: 11326730
Abstract: A support assembly comprises a mounting bracket and a coupling component. The mounting bracket comprises a first material and has an engagement surface defining a void along a first axis. The coupling component comprises a second material, which is different than the first material. The coupling component has a first end, a second end, and an intermediate portion. The intermediate portion extends through, and partially fills, the void defined by the mounting bracket. The intermediate portion defines a fluid passageway about the first axis within the void and also presents a locking surface. The locking surface abuts the engagement surface to prevent rotation of the coupling component with respect to the mounting bracket.

  • Patent number: 11306849
Abstract: A joint having a male joint member and female joint member with enhanced ease of assembly, in which a raised stop on the male joint member is limited to displacement between a constriction on the female joint member and a locking ring segment, in which the locking ring segment and constriction are separated by an unobstructed traverse region that allows the male joint member to slide axially when under stress without separation from the female joint member, and in which a compressible spacer is installed between the male joint member and female joint member to ensure that the raised stop is installed in an intermediate position between the constriction and the locking ring segment. The compressible spacer withstands forces associated with assembly but allows the joint to compress during extreme events to prevent failure of the joint during extreme events, such as earthquakes, floods, and landslides.
